Nhut Lam entered the second quarter competition as the winner of February with 230 points. The male student impressed with his confidence and courage when he won the overall competition after the thrilling supplementary question round.
Before the second quarter exam, Nhut Lam said he prepared by reviewing what he had learned and researching new knowledge. He also watched more news.
Nguyen Nhat Lam (11th grade A1 student, Cai Be High School, Tien Giang province).
However, the second quarter competition remains challenging.
The difficulty was evident right in the Warm-up round, Nhut Lam only got 40 points and temporarily ranked last in the mountain climbing group, 55 points behind the leader at that time, Duy Anh.
However, Nhut Lam immediately regained his position in the Obstacle Course round. Right after the answer and the suggested image of the first horizontal question were revealed, Nhut Lam and the other two players signaled to answer the obstacle. Nhut Lam was the fastest and gave the correct answer for the obstacle keyword “ Military service”.
The male student said he gave the answer by seeing the image of the "Gate of Glory" - one of the familiar symbols in events when citizens leave for military service.
This breakthrough helped the male student gain 60 more points and from the end he temporarily rose to the leading position of the climbing group with 110 points. However, at this time, the male student from Tien Giang was only 5 points ahead of his second-placed friend, Duy Anh.
In the Acceleration round, Nhut Lam gave correct answers to 3/4 questions, but that was not as impressive as Duy Anh's performance. At the end of this round, Nhut Lam only gained 70 more points, bringing his score to 180, but he dropped to second place, 15 points behind Duy Anh.
In the Finish Line round, Nhut Lam chose the 20-20-30 question package. In his turn, he only answered 1 question correctly, so he temporarily had 200 points, still 35 points behind his friend Duy Anh.
The challenge became even greater when, in the contest of Xuan Loc right after that, Duy Anh took the right to answer and gave the correct answer, increasing the gap with Nhut Lam to 55 points.
However, immediately, Nhut Lam won the right to answer the question right after that to get 30 more points and narrow the gap to 25. Fortunately for Nhut Lam, when he won the right to answer the last question in Xuan Loc's turn, Duy Anh gave an incorrect answer and was deducted 10 points and the gap continued to narrow to only 15.
The drama of the match focused on the final turn of player Anh Phuong - deciding the leading position.
With historical strength, Nhut Lam immediately won the right to answer, gaining 30 more points from the first question in Anh Phuong's turn, raising the score to 260 points and once again taking the lead.
However, it did not stop there, in the second question of this player, Nhut Lam continued to show his excellence when he won 30 more points, bringing the total score to 290 points. This score was enough to help Nhut Lam bring the television bridge back to Tien Giang province from now on.
