Hoang Thi Minh Hanh (53.91 seconds) ranked 6th, Hoang Thi Anh Thuc (55.61 seconds) ranked 8th in the women's 400m final.
Topping this category were two athletes from Bahrain. Shereen Samson Vallabouy of Malaysia won the bronze medal.

Boxing
Diem Quynh defeated a Nepalese boxer in the quarter-finals of the women's 66-75kg category. The Vietnamese athlete is certain to win a medal. The semi-final match will take place on October 3.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tran lost to Pang Chol-mi (North Korea) in the quarterfinals of the women's 50-54kg category. The Vietnamese team also has Luu Diem Quynh competing with Rana Saraswati (Nepal) in the women's 66-75kg category tonight. If she wins, Diem Quynh will definitely get a medal.
Football
Uzbekistan and North Korea are the first two teams to qualify for the women's football semi-finals. Taiwan (China) and South Korea are the teams that have been eliminated. The two remaining matches in the women's football quarter-finals tonight are Japan - Philippines and China - Thailand.

All three Vietnamese athletes were eliminated. Pham Nguyen Hong Mo lost to Amanova Aynur (Turkmenistan). Do Thu Ha lost to Shimada Riko (Japan). Le Cong Hoang Hai lost to VAhid Barimanlow Majid (Iran).
Canoe sprint
The Vietnamese team finished last in the first qualifying round of the women's 500m kayak doubles event, and still has a chance to compete for a place in the final if they are among the top 3 teams in the play-off round with Thailand, India and Macao (China). The results of the 2 Vietnamese athletes were better than the 2 teams of India and Macao (China) and only about 1 second behind Thailand.
Shooting
Trinh Thu Vinh and Lai Cong Minh failed to pass the qualifying round of the 10m air pistol mixed team.
Vietnamese shooters ranked only 10th with a total of 569 points after 3 rounds. The Indian team competed for the gold medal with China. Iran competed with South Korea for the bronze medal.
Vietnam team waiting for second gold medal
Before today's competition, the Vietnamese sports delegation had 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals and 12 bronze medals, ranking 15th in the medal tally. In terms of Southeast Asian sports delegations alone, the Vietnamese delegation was behind Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
The goal of the Vietnamese delegation at the 19th ASIAD is to win from 2 to 5 gold medals. The key sports that have the potential to compete for the highest rankings in Vietnamese sports are sepak takraw, karate, shooting, boxing, and chess.
Among them, chess and boxing have not yet awarded medals. The shooting team has completed its target with 1 gold medal from shooter Pham Quang Huy. Sepak Takraw and karate athletes have not yet competed.
