The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival DIFF 2024 opened on the evening of Saturday, June 8. The highlight of this 12th fireworks festival is the Jetski & Flyboards sports art performance show.
The world's top athletes have been practicing for days on the Han River, promising to bring viewers dances on water, in the air, extreme sports performances combined with fireworks displays.
At the same time as the fireworks festival, the city will open the Bach Dang walking street, 1.2 km long from the west of Dragon Bridge to the foot of Tran Thi Ly Bridge, connecting with night services on the historic Nguyen Van Troi Bridge.
As the first walking street along the Han River, it operates from 3-12pm every day, with all vehicles banned on weekends. The area will be decorated with eye-catching lighting and have mobile sales vehicles... to serve residents and tourists.
The final night of the fireworks festival took place on the evening of July 13. A day later, the city continued to welcome a series of participants in the VnExpress Marathon Da Nang Midnight 2024, a running route along the coast and across famous bridges.
Da Nang Department of Tourism also announced a series of festival programs "Enjoy Da Nang 2024" with a series of new tourism products to attract tourists.
The festival begins on July 17-21 with nearly 20 cultural, artistic and culinary activities. The opening concert with a scale of more than 20,000 people will take place at 7:30 p.m. on July 17 at Bien Dong Park, bringing together many famous singers and artists.
Within the framework of the festival, there is also a Vietnamese - International culinary space with more than 50 booths. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy hundreds of traditional dishes, combined with sightseeing and souvenir shopping.
Activities for family guests include kite art performances, sand festivals, children's experience space, Sup festival at Man Thai beach, kite surfing performances, banana boat rides, and canoe rides at My Khe beach.
Da Nang also organized a sailboat show on the Han River on July 20, with about 15 sailboats parading along the river running through the city center; Vietnam - Japan, Vietnam - Korea festivals.
Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that in the first 5 months of the year, the city's accommodation establishments are estimated to have served more than 3.78 million visitors, an increase of more than 22% over the same period in 2023, of which international visitors are estimated to reach more than 1.5 million.
"The above events will diversify tourism products, contributing to creating a boost for Da Nang tourism," said Mr. Minh.
