The 2023 Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival aims to introduce and promote the image of the homeland, land and people of Cao Bang in general, especially the national scenic spot of Ban Gioc Waterfall to domestic and international friends.

This is also a cultural and tourism festival; a bridge for meeting, exchanging and sharing experiences between regions, enriching and deepening the traditional cultural values of Cao Bang province in general and Trung Khanh district in particular.

The festival is expected to be attended by representatives of leaders of several ministries, branches, and central agencies; representatives of leaders of Cao Bang province and its affiliated units and localities; twinned districts with Trung Khanh district, and tourism businesses across the country. Cao Bang province also invited a number of delegates to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; and representatives of Daxin district and Jingxi city, China.

Since its organization in 2017, the Ban Gioc Waterfall Tourism Festival has gradually become a "brand" of Cao Bang tourism, attracting hundreds of thousands of participants. Locals and tourists attending the festival often prioritize visiting Ban Gioc Waterfall, Truc Lam Ban Gioc Buddhist Temple, Nguom Ngao Cave, Mountain God Eye, historical and cultural relics, community tourism villages, etc.

Since the festival was held, the number of tourists to Ban Gioc Waterfall in particular and Trung Khanh District in general has increased dramatically. Thereby, it will further promote the development of local tourism, promote the value of the UNESCO Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark and contribute to promoting the image of Cao Bang people and land to domestic and international friends.
