Vietnam Classical Music Festival 2024 takes place in Da Lat
The 2nd Vietnam Classical Music Festival (VCMF) 2024, lasting 8 days (from March 10 to 17) with 17 performances, 3 seminars, and masterclasses at 5 locations across Da Lat city.
The festival aims to open up a space for enjoying high-end and diverse academic art with a combination of traditional artistic values and unique performance space experiments.
At VCMF 2024, the audience will not only meet talented domestic artists but also international artists. These are the strong, vibrant melodies of Hanoi Brass Community, immersed in the elegant tones of pianist Tran Le Bao Quyen, listening to the violin of "natural talent" Tran Le Quang Tien, and enjoying Opera excerpts and captivating songs from KOSMOS Opera, music from Song Hong Ensemble, Schubert in a Mug, Vietnam Youth Music Institute (VYMI) or international artists such as Tim Allhoff, Kyle Acunicus.
The festival is also an opportunity for young talents such as The 6th Floor woodwind quintet, Beethoven Piano Quartet & Milhaud Trio to express themselves.
Going to a music festival to enjoy music is normal. At VCMF 2024, audiences will also enjoy paintings in addition to music. The paintings of famous artist Nguyen Tu Nghiem through the exhibition "Dialogue about Time" will not disappoint the audience.
Many attractive performances by talented artists
Pianist Tran Le Bao Quyen and Violinist Tran Le Quang Tien will return from Germany to perform classical music, promising to be a unique experience not to be missed. The two artists are both grandchildren of the famous painter Nguyen Tu Nghiem and grandchildren of the writer Nguyen Tuan.
Tran Le Bao Quyen is also the owner of this collection of paintings. This is a rare occasion when the family's precious paintings and Bao Quyen's special performance appear at the same time, with the mysteries that come with the paintings of the 12 zodiac animals and the time of the year Giap Thin 2024 appearing in the paintings as a forewarning.
