According to Director of the Institute of Construction Planning Luu Quang Huy, implementing the Prime Minister's direction on the policy of adjusting the overall Master Plan for Hanoi Capital Construction to 2030 and vision to 2050 (Master Plan 2011) approved in Decision No. 1259/QD-TTg dated July 26, 2011, the Hanoi People's Committee (UBND) has directed the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture and the Institute of Construction Planning to organize the preparation of a report to review and evaluate the Master Plan 2011 and orient the overall adjustment research in conjunction with the urban development orientation of Hanoi city.

Spatial development orientation in the project to adjust the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, vision to 2065.

The Hanoi People's Committee has submitted to the Ministry of Construction for appraisal and the Prime Minister has approved the task of adjusting the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065 in Decision No. 700/QD-TTg dated June 16, 2023. This is an important legal basis for the implementation of the project to adjust the Capital Master Plan according to the provisions of the Law on Urban Planning and other relevant legal provisions.

After a period of implementation, the explanatory document of the Adjustment of the Capital Master Plan has been posted by the Hanoi Institute of Construction Planning to solicit opinions with the main contents on positioning, vision, planning orientation; overview of the current status and assessment of the implementation of the 2011 Master Plan, along with development forecasts; spatial development orientation; land use planning orientation; socio-economic infrastructure planning; technical infrastructure system planning; environmental protection; urban design; planning implementation and priority programs and projects. The time for collecting opinions is from November 6, 2023 to December 5, 2023.
