The Drainage and Wastewater Treatment System Project aims to improve urban environmental sanitation conditions in the towns of Khanh Hai, Phuoc Dan, and Tan Son through the construction of drainage and wastewater treatment works, gradually perfecting mechanisms and policies related to the development of the drainage system in the period from 2025 to 2030. The expected investment scale is 2 wastewater pumping stations with a capacity of 5,000 m3/day and night in Phuoc Dan and Khanh Hai towns and a wastewater pumping station with a capacity of 2,000 m3/day and night in Tan Son town. In addition, 17 booster pumping stations and a collection and connection pipeline system will be invested in localities. The implementation period is from 2025 to 2028. The total expected investment of the project is nearly 1,300 billion VND (50,399,036 EURO); in which: Loan capital from the Public Investment Credit Program (PIF) of the Government of Finland is 749.5 billion VND (29,062,866 EURO, accounting for 57.67% of total investment capital) and counterpart capital is 550.2 billion VND (accounting for 42.33%).

Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the significance and importance of the project, thanked the attention and support from the Public Investment Credit Program (PIF) of the Government of Finland; at the same time, committed to using investment capital effectively and for the right purpose, to improve urban environmental sanitation conditions in towns; arrange sufficient capital and direct relevant sectors to coordinate with investors to speed up the procedures for submitting and approving investment proposals from Vietnam to ensure the project implementation plan using approved capital; mobilize all resources to implement project investment procedures on schedule as committed.
