City leaders visit Head of Liaison Committee of Thanh Hoang Dieu National Salvation Youth Union

Comrade Le Duc Van (born in 1928, also known as Nguyen Huu Phuc, 83 years of Party membership, currently living in Long Bien district) is the Head of the Liaison Committee of the Thanh Hoang Dieu National Salvation Youth Union.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong visited and presented gifts to comrade Le Duc Van - Head of the Liaison Committee of the Hoang Dieu City Youth Union for National Salvation.

During his revolutionary activities, he held many positions and positions such as: participating in the Ngo Quyen team - a revolutionary patriotic student organization founded at Buoi School (Hanoi); participating in the Hanoi National Salvation Youth Union; participating in the Thanh Hoang Dieu National Salvation Youth Union - a revolutionary organization that made an important contribution to the victory of the August Revolution in 1945.

After 1945, comrade Le Duc Van continued to participate in the revolution, build the capital and hold the positions: Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Party Committee, Principal of the Vietnam Dance School, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Deputy Head of the Organization Department - Ministry of Culture.

For his contributions, comrade Le Duc Van was awarded the Third Class Independence Medal and the First Class Resistance Medal by the President. In 2023, he was awarded the title of “Outstanding Citizen of the Capital”.

Expressing gratitude for the contributions of comrade Le Duc Van, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong affirmed that, whether in his working positions or after retirement, comrade Le Duc Van has actively served the revolutionary cause of the Party, making important contributions to the cause of building and developing the capital and the country. In particular, his contributions have always been exemplary in educating revolutionary historical traditions to generations of union members and youth in the capital.

Affirming that the Party Committee, Government and People of Hanoi are inheriting the glorious tradition of veteran revolutionaries, overcoming difficulties and challenges to build and develop the Capital to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee respectfully wished Comrade Le Duc Van good health. Comrade Le Duc Van is a valuable asset of his family in particular and the City in general, a vivid historical witness, with great symbolic and educational significance for the current generation. The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee hopes that, with his experience and intelligence, Comrade Le Duc Van will continue to care for, encourage and support the Party Committee and the City Government in the process of construction and development.

On this occasion, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also requested that local Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention to policies for veteran revolutionaries and people with meritorious services in the area; further strengthen the work of educating revolutionary traditions for the younger generation.
