During her working trip to Quang Ninh, on the afternoon of January 1, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly visited and presented Tet gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Dong Trieu City; visited Mao Khe Coal Company and presented gifts to the Company's outstanding workers. Accompanying her were: Vu Hong Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee; Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
Visiting and presenting gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Hue (102 years old) in Vinh Tuy 2 area, Mao Khe ward and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Phuong (88 years old) in Yen Lam 1 area, Duc Chinh ward, Dong Trieu city, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, sent greetings and encouragement, and expressed deep gratitude for the silent but great sacrifices of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
He affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to the work of war invalids and martyrs; activities to show gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers; and at the same time prioritize resources to implement policies for those who have contributed to the revolution. Thereby, it partly eases the pain, loss, and blood sacrifice for the cause of defending and building the Fatherland of heroes, martyrs and relatives of families of those who have contributed.
Kindly inquiring about the health and daily life of the mothers, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly respectfully wished Mother Nguyen Thi Hue and Mother Nguyen Thi Phuong good health, and encouraged their children and grandchildren to uphold the family's revolutionary tradition to actively compete in studying, working, and producing, contributing to the development of their homeland. He hoped that the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Ninh province in general and Dong Trieu city in particular would continue to pay attention to better implementing the Party and State's policies and guidelines for war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution, contributing to multiplying the nation's fine tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source".
On the same day, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, and the delegation visited Mao Khe Coal Company (TKV). The Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly congratulated and highly appreciated the results achieved by Mao Khe Coal Company in production, business, and care for workers.
With a journey of more than 70 years of restoration and development, Mao Khe Coal Company has made great strides in all aspects. From the early years of its establishment with a workforce of only a few dozen people, the company now has 3,893 officers and employees; raw coal output from more than 20,000 tons to 2.4 million tons by 2024 and 2.5 million tons by 2025. The total output of the Company by the end of 2024 is nearly 60 million tons. The lives and incomes of workers are increasingly improved.
Expressing his joy at seeing the competitive atmosphere of labor production on the first day of the new year at Mao Khe Coal Company, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested the company to continue to lead and direct the implementation of the assigned production and business plan targets for 2025. In particular, regularly research and innovate technology, effectively invest in mining equipment; promote automation, gradually digitize production and business activities, creating a foundation for the coal industry to develop sustainably. Implement well social security work, take care of health, housing, and means of transportation for workers; pay attention to the lives of workers during the Lunar New Year, especially those in difficult circumstances. Along with that, the Company must focus on environmental protection, promote tree planting at waste dumps and construction sites that have ended exploitation, and plant additional trees to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3; Invest, construct and operate environmental protection works scientifically and effectively, gradually completing the goal of "Greening the mining environment".
On this occasion, he presented gifts of encouragement to 30 outstanding workers of Mao Khe Coal Company.
