Also attending were comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the National Assembly Delegation of the province, along with leaders of departments, branches, districts, cities, towns; leaders of associations, business associations, entrepreneurs and more than 400 delegates who are typical entrepreneurs representing the business community of Nghe An province.
ENTERPRISES CONTRIBUTE 70% OF NGHE AN BUDGET REVENUE
With the motto "Party committees and authorities accompany businesses", in 2023, Nghe An province will continue to resolutely and synchronously implement many solutions to improve the investment and business environment; focusing on promoting the application of information technology, digital transformation, and shortening the time to handle administrative procedures.
The province has also promptly rectified and improved public service ethics, especially among cadres and civil servants who directly contact and work with businesses and investors; focused on investing in infrastructure, preparing resources in terms of land, premises, and labor; ensuring security and order, property safety, and other favorable conditions for businesses to develop and achieve the highest efficiency in production and business activities.
Thanks to that, the province's business sector has developed rapidly in both quantity and quality. The structure, scale and fields of operation have changed in line with the economic restructuring; the efficiency and competitiveness of businesses have been improved.
Up to now, the number of registered enterprises in the whole province is more than 29,000 enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly 194,000 billion VND, the average registered capital is 6.7 billion VND/enterprise.
According to the White Book of Vietnamese Enterprises of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the number of enterprises in Nghe An province ranks 9th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
Enterprises have been making important contributions to the growth and socio-economic stability of the province, including creating jobs for 310,000 workers, with an average income of about 6.5 million VND/month, contributing nearly 70% of the total state budget revenue.
Enterprises and businessmen have also actively responded and launched many meaningful social security movements and activities, especially the mobilization and support for building and repairing houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties in the period of 2023-2025, and the Tet for the Poor Program.
With the joint efforts of the business community, the socio-economic situation in the province in the first 9 months of the year continued to maintain a good growth momentum. The growth rate of the total product in the province (GRDP) is estimated at 6.27%, the State budget revenue is estimated at nearly 12,000 billion VND.
Investment attraction continues to be a bright spot, as of October 10, 2023, 98 newly licensed projects and 129 projects were adjusted; the total newly licensed and increased capital is nearly 44 trillion VND; FDI attraction for the first time rose to 6th place out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide with a total newly registered and adjusted capital increase of nearly 1.3 billion USD;...
NGHE AN PROVINCE'S PARTY COMMITS TO ACCOMPANY AND STRONGLY SUPPORT BUSINESSES AND ENTREPRENEURS TO DEVELOP
On behalf of the leaders speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung sent his respectful greetings, sincere thanks, and best wishes to businesses and entrepreneurs on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2023).
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also acknowledged, commended and expressed gratitude for the contributions of businesses and businessmen in the province in recent times.
With the province's viewpoint that "business development, Nghe An development; successful business, Nghe An success", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that, in the coming time, businesses and entrepreneurs in the province will continue to promote positive aspects and achieved results; overcome difficulties to rise up, first of all for the development of each business, thereby contributing better and more to the province.
The head of the Provincial People's Committee also hopes that businesses and entrepreneurs will arouse the national spirit and development aspirations in the spirit of Resolution No. 41 on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period of the Politburo, just issued on October 10, 2023; continue to accompany the province to develop Nghe An to soon become a well-off province of the country according to Resolution No. 39 dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030 and vision to 2045.
Sharing the difficulties of enterprises, especially in accessing capital and technology transfer in Nghe An... Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested enterprises and entrepreneurs to be proactive, adapt to the new situation, be ready to overcome difficulties and challenges in the face of market fluctuations; especially boldly invest in new fields.
Especially in the context that Nghe An is gradually forming a center for manufacturers in the electronics sector;… The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that this is a very good opportunity for businesses in the province to take advantage of and approach to participate in the production chain of these products.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung also hopes that businesses and entrepreneurs will promote digital transformation, apply information technology, science and technology in production and business activities; enhance competitiveness first in the province, then at the national level and towards reaching out internationally, participating in the global value chain.
Because Nghe An still has a lot of room for business development, nearly 98% of the province's businesses are currently small and micro. According to the White Book of Vietnamese Enterprises of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the scale of business operations in Nghe An is still modest. The density of operating businesses is only 8.8 businesses/1,000 employees, ranking 33rd out of 63 provinces and cities, lower than the national average.
In particular, with the spirit of seeking knowledge and thoroughly resolving difficulties and problems of enterprises, the head of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee suggested that enterprises and entrepreneurs take the initiative in cooperating and dialogue with Party committees and authorities at all levels to resolve difficulties; not waiting for quarterly meetings with provincial leaders to discuss.
At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Nghe An enterprises and businessmen to continue to pay attention to building corporate culture and business ethics to build a team of Nghe An enterprises and businessmen to develop effectively and sustainably; at the same time, strictly comply with legal regulations, especially tax, labor, environment... and continue to accompany the province in social security work.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hopes that through the upcoming Provincial Business Association Congress, entrepreneurs with enough "heart, vision, and talent" will be selected to participate in order to play the role of a bridge with the government, connect businesses in the area, and develop a strong and effective business community.
Speaking to more than 400 businessmen attending the program, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also repeatedly affirmed the province's determination with the motto "Party committees and authorities accompany businesses".
Accordingly, the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee always accompany the government and businesses to realize the goal of supporting business development.
The province has formulas to improve the business investment environment such as: "5 readiness"; establishing the Provincial Administrative Reform Steering Committee headed directly by the Provincial Party Secretary; and according to the Government's Administrative Reform Steering Committee, Nghe An is one of two localities in the country with an Administrative Reform Steering Committee headed by the Provincial Party Secretary.
Nghe An has also determined to rectify public ethics with a number of cadres, civil servants and public employees and has created positive changes.
However, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also frankly acknowledged that, regarding the responsibility of the government, legal issues still have difficulties and delays due to many reasons, including a number of officials, civil servants and public employees who are still afraid of responsibility and are reluctant to give advice to solve the problem. The province has identified this and will have more solutions in the coming time.
In that spirit, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung conveyed a strong message from the Party Committee and the government of Nghe An province to the business community that they always accompany and support businesses to develop and continue to prepare the best conditions, especially in terms of infrastructure and premises; reform the investment and business environment, and make administrative procedures more and more convenient and simpler so that businesses have the best operating environment.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to strictly implement the province's guidelines in accompanying and supporting businesses; especially leaders must uphold this spirit.
The head of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with the tradition, culture, history, spirit and temperament of Nghe An people, businesses and entrepreneurs will continue to promote the achieved results in the coming time to continue to achieve better results and become the driving force for the development of the province.
On behalf of the entire business community in the province, Mr. Pham Dinh Hanh - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Business Association spoke to express the aspirations, responsibilities and efforts of the business community and entrepreneurs.
With the leadership, companionship and support of the Party Committee and the government, and the solidarity and consensus of the people, Mr. Pham Dinh Hanh affirmed: The business community of Nghe An province is determined to promote the achievements, unite together, overcome difficulties and challenges to become increasingly stronger, make worthy contributions to social security work and the development of the province, worthy of being the center of the North Central region.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 25 enterprises and 5 outstanding entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in production and business activities, contributing to promoting economic growth and making great contributions to the province's social security work in 2023.
