The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Disciplinary Board fined 20 million VND and suspended Technical Director Tran Tien Dai of Hanoi Police Club for 5 matches.

In the match between Hanoi Police Club and Binh Duong at Hang Day Stadium on December 26, Mr. Tran Tien Dai rushed onto the field to protest against the referee's decision and received a yellow card. According to the organizers' report, this person had actions and words that insulted and offended the main referee Nguyen Viet Duan.

The technical director of the Hanoi Police Club received a red card. However, he refused to leave the technical area despite being dismissed. Only when the referee stopped the match to request compliance, did Mr. Tran Tien Dai leave the technical area and move to the stands.

Mr. Tran Tien Dai received a heavy penalty from VFF.

VPF assessed Mr. Tran Tien Dai's behavior as very offensive, including removing his tournament organizing committee duty card and throwing it hard on the ground.

This is not the first time Mr. Tran Tien Dai has violated the tournament's regulations and been banned from coaching. Even the technical director of the Hanoi Police Club has shown disrespect for the penalties.

In total, after 8 matches directly directing the tactics of Hanoi Police Club, Mr. Tran Tien Dai (titled technical director, then transferred to head coach and then returned to the position of technical director) received 3 yellow cards and 1 red card.

In addition to Mr. Tran Tien Dai's penalty, Hanoi Police Club was also disciplined with a warning for not complying with the countdown time, violating the Professional Football Regulations during the match.

The disciplinary board also imposed a penalty on player Nguyen Thanh Thao. The Ho Chi Minh City midfielder was suspended for three matches and fined VND15 million for intentionally assaulting an opposing player. Specifically, Thanh Thao elbowed Nguyen Van Hanh of Ha Tinh Club in the face during a match at Thong Nhat Stadium.
