Quang Ninh Club determined to be promoted to professional level with support from Cam Pha stadium

Sharing at the 2025 season launch ceremony held on the evening of April 13, Mr. Ha Tuan Dung, Chairman of Quang Ninh Club said: "With the support of the Departments, Boards and Branches of the province, Quang Ninh Football Club will compete at Cam Pha Stadium. This is a special football field, the pride of the people of Quang Ninh. The 'Cam Pha fire pan' will 'burn' again to support the players of Quang Ninh Club".

Three years after Than Quang Ninh team dissolved, Quang Ninh Club was newly established in 2024. After winning the co-championship of the National Third Division in the same year, the new team of Quang Ninh province was promoted to the National Second Division in 2025.

With a modest squad based on the Third Division framework, Quang Ninh under the leadership of coach Nguyen Van Dan is still determined to aim for promotion.

The 2025 National Second Division will take place in a round-robin format with two home and away matches. Cam Pha Stadium, the former home of the once-powerful Than Quang Ninh, will therefore continue to be a source of strength for the new team.

Chairman Ha Tuan Dung emphasized: “I know that in this tournament there are very strong opponents, they also have ambitions to be promoted to the first division like us, such as Bac Ninh, PVF-CAND Youth or Hanoi Youth. They have potential and very strong support from the locality. These will certainly be difficult matches, so everyone should arrange their time to come to the field to cheer and support Quang Ninh Football Club to win both the first and second legs.”

The 2025 National Second Division begins on April 11, with 15 teams divided into 2 groups. Quang Ninh Club is in Group A with PVF-CAND Youth, PVF Football Center, Bac Ninh, Hoai Duc, Hanoi Youth and Phu Tho. The tournament will only take the top 2 teams from each group to the First Division.
