(Dan Tri) - Despite opening the score first, Nam Dinh still could not win against Hanoi Police when midfielder Quang Hai shined with an equalizer in the last minute of the first half of the match in round 16 of the V-League.
After Hanoi FC disappointingly shared points with Hong Linh Ha Tinh in the early match of round 16 of the V-League last night (March 7), Nam Dinh is full of hope to break away from the top spot if they defeat Hanoi Police FC at Hang Day Stadium on the evening of March 8.

Confidence helped the away team play strong attacks from the start, even scoring a goal past goalkeeper Nguyen Filip in the 23rd minute. However, striker Joseph Mpande's goal was disallowed by the referee after VAR confirmed that the Ugandan striker had fouled defender Dinh Trong earlier.

The visitors did not have to wait long to open the scoring in the 37th minute and the scorer was none other than Mpande. From a cross from Hong Duy in a free kick on the left wing, Mpande headed the ball in, but goalkeeper Nguyen Filip, despite flying as far as he could, was unable to block it.
After conceding a goal, Hanoi Police Club still calmly organized attacks to find an equalizer. Right at the end of the first half, after a few situations where the ball was bobbing around the penalty area, Quang Hai rushed in and finished with a powerful shot, bringing the home team an equalizer of 1-1.

Entering the second half, the match between the two teams was quite balanced with many beautiful exchanges. In the 77th minute, Romulo received the ball in front of the penalty area and confidently shot the ball into the far corner. Goalkeeper Filip Nguyen stood still and watched, but fortunately the ball missed the goal by a hair.

The final minutes of the match saw the home team Cong An Ha Noi force Nam Dinh into a defensive position. Even in the 90th minute, Quang Hai had a very favorable situation when facing goalkeeper Nguyen Manh, but his shot still could not beat the goalkeeper from Nghe An.

In the end, both teams had to share points after 90 minutes of play and the position on the LPBank V-League 2024-25 rankings did not change, as Nam Dinh continued to lead the table with 31 points, 3 points more than the 2nd ranked team, Hanoi FC. Meanwhile, Hanoi Police continued to stay in 6th place with 22 points after 16 rounds.
