The 5-day April 30-May 1 holiday has many tourists planning long trips. Among the destinations, Da Lat is always at the top because of its many forms of entertainment and dining. In addition, the cool climate here is also suitable for visiting on hot days.
However, Da Lat is increasingly crowded and commercialized, many tourists tend to move to Bao Loc. Although not too bustling, Bao Loc still has beautiful natural scenery, cool climate and many attractions, delicious food, the space is somewhat quieter when there are not too many tourists.
Cloud hunting in the morning
With a terrain of many passes and majestic high mountains, Bao Loc always has white clouds surrounding the mountain tops in the morning. Coming here, tourists can hunt clouds anywhere. The most popular cloud hunting spot is Dai Binh mountain.

Located in Loc Thanh commune, Dai Binh mountain is considered the "roof of Bao Loc city" with an altitude of more than 1,000 m above sea level. Below is the winding Dai Binh river, interspersed with coffee and tea valleys. Standing on the top of the mountain, visitors will be amazed by the dense clouds covering the entire valley and a corner of Bao Loc city looming in the distance.
To reach the top of the mountain, visitors must trek 6-12 km. Currently, the road up the mountain is still wild, quite narrow and steep, visitors should go on dry days, without rain. If traveling by motorbike, visitors can park at the local people's house at the foot of the mountain.

According to the experience of those who often travel, the most suitable time to hunt clouds is from November to July. At this time, Bao Loc's weather is stable, there is a high chance of encountering a sea of clouds, and the weather is cold at night. Visitors need to wake up early, be at the top of the mountain at 4-5am to admire the first rays of sunlight filtering through the sea of floating clouds.
Sharing his experience of cloud hunting in Bao Loc, tourist Nguyen Duy Tuan said that the feeling of enjoying a cup of aromatic coffee, watching the sunrise with clouds drifting before his eyes is indescribable. This is also an exciting way to start a new day.
Beautiful waterfalls
Bao Loc has not yet developed strongly in tourism, most of the landscape still retains its wild features. In addition to the vast mountains and forests, this place is also blessed with beautiful waterfalls.
Located in DamB'ri commune, Dambri waterfall is the largest waterfall in Lam Dong province with a height of over 60 m, a width of 30 m, forming 2 high and low streams pouring down from above, creating white foam. Currently, this waterfall belongs to Dambri tourist area, so visitors can participate in more interesting activities such as sledding, duck pedaling, and swinging on a cage... when visiting the waterfall.

At the foot of the waterfall, the investor built a triangular bridge with 3 coordinates, spanning the stream and rugged cliffs covered with green moss. These 3 coordinates correspond to 3 stopping points for visitors to watch the rushing water. If you like to explore, visitors can walk through 138 steps, along the cliffs and mountainside to the foot of the waterfall.
The road to Dambri waterfall is not too difficult, visitors just need to rent a motorbike and follow Highway 20. The green tea hills, coffee hills or white coffee flower fields along both sides of the road will come into view.
Carrying the breath of the plateau, hidden in a dense forest, completely separate from the city, Tam Hop waterfall possesses a pristine beauty, captivating many tourists.

Tam Hop Waterfall consists of 3 large streams of water pouring down from a height of 70 m, converging into a gentle stream below. Surrounding the waterfall are lush green trees and wild flowers growing between the rocks. Visiting Tam Hop Waterfall in the early morning, when the mist has not yet cleared, you can fully feel the magic of nature.
Tourist Thuy Phuong, who has explored the waterfalls in Bao Loc, shared: "The road to the waterfall is not easy to go but easy to find. When you arrive, all your fatigue will disappear because of the beautiful scenery before your eyes. Tourists can ask to stay at Di Da Pagoda for the night. In the afternoon, walk around the pagoda grounds, take pictures with the miniature landscape or lotus pond."
Arriving at Tam Hop waterfall, visitors feel like their worries are gone, only hearing the sound of the stream flowing, the birds singing or the rustling of leaves in the old forest. In addition, this is also an ideal place for camping on hot summer days.
Coffee shop full of "virtual living" corners
Similar to Da Lat, there are many coffee shops in prime locations, facing the mountains and forests. Not too crowded or noisy, the coffee shops in Bao Loc offer visitors a quiet space to sip a cool drink.
Another Delab attracts customers because of its vintage style, with brown wood tones as the main color. The restaurant worships minimalism, limiting interior arrangement.

The restaurant was restored from an old house with peeling paint on the walls, giving it a classic, cozy feel. Inside, there is an attic and a balcony to enjoy the view of the mountains and forests.
Stepping outside is a large garden, surrounded by many green trees and smooth grass underfoot. In the middle is a large fireplace for heating. Most customers often choose to sit in the outside area to enjoy the cool, fresh air.
The menu is dominated by tea and coffee, with a few milk teas and cold brews. The teas at the shop tend to be fruit teas such as mulberry tea, hibiscus tea, guava tea... Coffee includes iced coffee, iced coffee, latte, cappuccino... Prices range from 25,000 to 40,000 VND.
However, the drinks are decorated quite simply, and the taste is not impressive. The service quality is average. The staff sometimes lacks tact in some situations, making the customer experience incomplete.
For those who are looking for a peaceful corner, a place to slow down or simply sip delicious drinks, you can come to Lecii Cafe.
The restaurant is likened to a small house in the middle of a big city, nestled in a quiet alley in Ha Giang. The interior is simply decorated with a few wooden tables and chairs and small furniture such as wall paintings, flower pots... The yellow lights create a pleasant feeling. The yard outside is planted with many flowers and grass, the path is paved with stones and has long benches for large groups.

The menu here has coffee, soda, juice, smoothies, fruit tea... Star fruit juice and milk coffee are suggestions worth trying. The star fruit juice is pure, has a slightly sour taste and is not too sweet. The milk coffee has a fragrant coffee aroma, smooth because it is mixed with condensed milk and cream. In addition, the shop also has croissants and egg tarts.
The downside is that the inside area has few tables and chairs, only accommodating groups of 3-4 people. The drinks take a long time to prepare, making customers impatient. In return, the staff is enthusiastic and attentive.
In addition, visitors can refer to some other coffee shops such as Den Coffee, Sunset Chill, Nha Cua Gao, B'laca Coffee, Dom Coffee...
Many special dishes
In addition to the "chill" scenery, diverse cuisine is also a factor that makes Bao Loc have the potential to compete with Da Lat for tourism.
When talking about dishes to try when coming to Bao Loc, we cannot miss the typical dry pho. Hao Ky restaurant located on Nguyen Cong Tru street is a familiar dining address for many tourists and locals.
The restaurant is airy, clean and has many tables and chairs to serve large groups. The processing counter is also neatly arranged. The front yard is quite large, so customers can park their cars comfortably.

A bowl of Hao Ky dry pho is quite a lot, including thin rice noodles like rice noodles, mixed with soy sauce, topped with rare beef, fried onions and pork rinds. The brisket, flank or beef balls are usually placed separately in the bowl of broth. Accompanied by herbs and bean sprouts.
The flavor of dry pho is highly appreciated by many customers because it is rich and unique. When eating, you can feel the chewiness and a little bit of floury taste of pho noodles right on the tip of your tongue, which is quite interesting. The beef is fresh and has just the right softness. The price of each bowl is quite high, a small bowl costs 50,000 VND, a large bowl costs 60,000 VND and a special bowl costs 70,000 VND.
The service quality is okay. However, the tables and chairs are cleared slowly, causing later guests to struggle to find a seat.
Not too famous, not reviewed on social networks, but Mrs. Thanh's sandwiches are still full every day thanks to word of mouth. The shop is located behind Bao Loc Children's House, on Kim Dong Street. The space is rustic, spacious and has only a few plastic tables and chairs.

The restaurant has two types of sandwiches: dipping sandwiches and plate sandwiches. If you choose plate sandwiches, the meal will include a plate of tapioca dumplings filled with scallion oil and crushed rice paper, spread evenly on top. Dipping sandwiches will include 2 rice paper sheets sandwiching the tapioca dumplings, dipped in soy sauce or scallion fish sauce.
Banh bot loc and banh da are available in all provinces and cities, but the restaurant has changed it by soaking the banh bot loc in a special broth to create a unique flavor for the dish. When coming here, customers can choose banh bot loc with shrimp or mung bean filling depending on their preference.
The sandwich has a balanced sweet and salty taste, interwoven with the chewiness of tapioca dumplings and the crispiness of rice paper. However, eating too much can easily make you feel full because the dipping sauce is too greasy. The presentation of the dish is simple and beautiful. The price is 5,000-15,000 VND/plate, quite cheap compared to the general level, but the portion is small and not enough to fill you up.
In addition, visitors can try some other dishes such as grilled rice paper with fish sauce, hot soy milk, stuffed snails, and xap xap... in Bao Loc.
