The mid-year session of the Hanoi People's Council will take place from July 1 to July 4.

At this session, the City People's Council will review and approve the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, budget revenue and expenditure in the first 6 months of 2024, key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024; direction and operation of the City People's Committee in the first 6 months of the year, directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

The City People's Council also listened to the City People's Committee submit the adjustment of the City-level Public Investment Plan for 2024 and the orientation of the Hanoi City Public Investment Plan for 2025. Update and adjust the 5-year medium-term public investment plan for 2021-2025 at the city level; Hanoi City Urban Development Program; overall project for investment in the construction of the capital's urban railway system; project to improve capacity and ensure fire prevention, fighting and rescue safety in the capital for the period up to 2025, with a vision to 2030.

In addition, at the meeting of the City People's Council, the submissions on Regulations on a number of contents and expenditure levels under its authority were also considered: Expenditure contents and expenditure levels to support costs for elementary vocational training and training under 3 months applied in the field of vocational education in Hanoi; regulations on special policies to support subsidies for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of people with meritorious services who are receiving monthly preferential subsidies from Hanoi;

Regulations on expenditure contents and expenditure levels from the city budget to implement the Program for promoting investment, trade and tourism in Hanoi; regulations on expenditure levels for dissemination and education of law, standards for legal access and mediation at the grassroots level in Hanoi; regulations on expenditure contents and levels to support the local police force and the communal police force in Hanoi;

Review the Regulations on the number of pickup trucks and cars with 12 to 16 seats serving the general work of agencies and units under the management of the City assigned to perform specific tasks as prescribed in Clause 5, Article 8 of Decree No. 72/32023/ND-CP dated September 26, 2023 of the Government; review the proposal to name and adjust the length of a number of roads, streets, and public works in Hanoi in 2024.

At the meeting, the City People's Council also reviewed the content of the Regulations on architectural management of Hanoi City; approved the Project on developing a public transport system by buses using electricity and green energy in the city; reviewed the results of the City People's Council's supervision on the implementation of discipline, order and responsibility in the performance of public duties of State agencies in Hanoi City...

Notably, on the third working day (July 3), the City People's Council will devote a full day to question and answer sessions. The question and answer sessions will be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television.
