Since the tourism group was established, the two villages have established cooperatives to make rice wine and weave brocade. On normal days, even when there are no tourists, many people still weave, weave brocade or review gongs to both preserve tradition and prepare well for the next group of visitors.

Although the income from tourism is not significant, since welcoming tourists, people have gradually realized the benefits of community tourism, become more proactive in preserving traditional culture, restoring handicrafts, and the young generation also understands and loves their ethnic culture more. From here, the unique cultural values of the M'nong people are spread and promoted.

Promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities in the North

In localities with a large number of ethnic minorities from the northern provinces, typical cultural products have been developed, creating a boost for people to develop culture and tourism.

In Nam Xuan commune, 10 folk art clubs have been established. These clubs regularly organize activities and perform Xoe dance, Sap dance, Khoa Luong, Hat Xep... of the Thai people, and Sli singing, Luon singing of the Nung people.

Some clubs also accept sightseeing tours, combining them with learning about the customs and practices of ethnic minorities in the villages. Nam Xuan commune has become a destination that leaves a good impression on visitors from near and far.

Mr. Phung Xuan Thanh, a Vietnamese expatriate in France, shared: "The most impressive thing to me is the diverse cultural colors of the ethnic groups here. On the occasion of returning home to visit relatives, I had the opportunity to participate in community activities and felt very happy. This is truly a deep impression of the land and people here, not only because of the friendly atmosphere but also because of the rich traditional culture."

In recent years, many cultural activities from the community have been encouraged by authorities at all levels to be developed into local tourism products. Typical examples include: the Long Tong festival of the Tay and Nung people; the new rice offering festival of the Thai people in Nam Xuan commune; the Cap Sac ceremony of the Dao Thanh Y people in Nam N'dir commune, and the new rice celebration of the Tay people in Dak Sor commune.
