However, after being informed about the voluntary social insurance policy, I have saved a few hundred thousand VND each month to buy social insurance starting from May 2024, which will help me feel secure when I am sick and old.
Through review, the majority of households in the district participating in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance have a stable and good income. Determined to bring social insurance and health insurance to all people, propaganda work on the benefits and significance of participating in social insurance and health insurance has a humane meaning for each person, family and society has been promoted by Kim Son district.
Through propaganda work, people see that participating in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance brings practical benefits in the long term. People have access to good quality medical services, receive monthly pensions, ensure their lives, and relatives receive death benefits when the participant unfortunately passes away...
Comrade Pham Quoc Vuong, Vice Chairman of Dong Huong Commune People's Committee, said: Currently, the whole commune has 90 workers participating in voluntary social insurance; more than 8,345 people participating in health insurance, reaching a coverage rate of 95.12% of the population. Thanks to the attention and drastic and strong participation of the Party Committee and Dong Huong Commune People's Committee, every year, more and more people in the area have fully and promptly enjoyed the social insurance and health insurance policies and benefits, contributing to stabilizing life and ensuring social security in the locality.
In order to achieve many results in the implementation of policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance in Dong Huong commune in the coming time, striving to complete the assigned targets on developing participants in 2024 and the following years, the Steering Committee for implementing social insurance and health insurance policies of the commune will continue to improve, assign responsibilities and assign specific tasks to each member of the Steering Committee in implementing policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance in the area.
At the same time, strengthen propaganda and dissemination of the purpose, meaning and humanity of social insurance and health insurance policies to the people in many diverse and rich forms to mobilize people to voluntarily register to participate in social insurance and health insurance. Closely coordinate with the social insurance sector, staff of service organizations to review and grasp the current situation, needs and economic conditions of each family in the commune to mobilize participation in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance in many forms.
Promote propaganda and mobilization to call on civil servants, public employees, and workers to voluntarily encourage their relatives to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance; require party members, civil servants, and public employees to take the lead in implementing the policies and laws of the Party and the State on social insurance and health insurance.
Comrade Nguyen Cao Son, Vice Chairman of Kim Son District People's Committee, said: In recent times, local Party committees and authorities in the district have always paid attention to directing the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies, contributing to ensuring social security in the area. As a result, 20,900 workers have participated in social insurance, accounting for about 21.02% of the workforce; 172,661 people have participated in health insurance, accounting for 92.45% of the population. This affirms that social insurance and health insurance policies have widely spread humanistic values and superiority, contributing to stabilizing the lives of workers and people, ensuring social security in the locality.
In order to propagate and encourage people to participate in social insurance, towards the goal of social insurance for all workers and universal health insurance, in the Social Insurance Action Month for All, the Steering Committee for the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies in Kim Son district issued a plan to organize a traditional campaign to mobilize people to participate in voluntary health insurance and social insurance. Requesting the People's Committees of communes, towns, a number of agencies and units to effectively implement the targets on developing voluntary social insurance participants in May 2024. Deploying solutions, actively propagating and disseminating policies and benefits of social insurance and health insurance participants; inspecting and supervising the implementation, improving the quality of service for social insurance and health insurance participants to complete the assigned targets in 2024.
The Steering Committee for the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies of the district regularly directs, monitors and urges the Steering Committee for the development of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance participants in communes, towns and service collection organizations in the district to exceed the targets assigned by the District People's Committee on the development of voluntary social insurance and family health insurance participants.
