In 2025, Kien Giang province aims to attract a number of new industries and fields such as semiconductor industry, hydrogen, science and technology and innovation.

The People's Committee of Kien Giang province assigned the Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center as the focal point, advising the Provincial People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with provincial departments, branches and localities to organize the implementation of the Investment Promotion Program in 2025.
This center will monitor, grasp the implementation status and summarize the results of activities, as well as synthesize proposals to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process.
Accordingly, in 2025, the province will focus on attracting projects using high, modern, clean, and environmentally friendly technology to create products with high added value and contribute greatly to the budget. At the same time, the projects will be less labor-intensive, use land economically, have high investment efficiency, have spillover effects, and connect global production and supply chains.
To effectively call for investment, the province will proactively approach and flexibly mobilize through various channels such as: influential individuals, investors, business associations, international organizations, leading consulting firms, investment funds and influential individuals to attract large corporations with quality projects.
In addition, the province has expanded investment promotion to attract partners with high technology, source technology, leading supply chains and members of the CPTPP, EVFTA, RCEP agreements such as the United States, Canada, EU, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
Project sectors and fields that have advantages in policies and tariff and non-tariff barriers from signed free trade agreements, especially new-generation agreements such as CPTPP, EVFTA, RCEP; traditional markets and partners (Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, etc.) are also given priority.
The program's objectives are to promote measures to support businesses in accessing information, markets, land, technology, and credit; to be consistent in mechanisms and policies to attract investment, creating trust and attractiveness for investors in project implementation.
Improve the investment and business environment, enhance provincial competitiveness; ensure quality of investment attraction, 100% use of high technology, save land fund and be environmentally friendly.
Kien Giang strives to increase registered investment capital by 10% in 2025 compared to 2024.
To achieve these goals, Kien Giang has gradually innovated investment promotion work towards professionalism, substance, efficiency, with goals, focus, key points and long-term vision. At the same time, it has maintained and expanded relations with foreign representative agencies, domestic and foreign business associations, foreign investment promotion organizations in Vietnam...
In addition, the province also pays attention to organizing investment promotion, attracting enterprises with sufficient capacity and experience to become investors in technical infrastructure of industrial clusters, investment projects to build processing factory clusters associated with raw material areas according to the planning.
Organize seminars on investment promotion in industrial zones and clusters in the province; actively participate in trade promotion programs, domestic and foreign fairs and exhibitions; organize connections for goods consumption, seek partners, and expand markets for processing and exporting enterprises in the province.
In addition, we pay attention to supporting businesses and investors in the area. At least twice a year, the People's Committee of Kien Giang province organizes a dialogue conference with the business community and investors in the province to grasp and resolve difficulties and obstacles.
