The conference took place over two days, August 28-29, to supplement legal knowledge on corruption prevention and control, asset and income declaration and asset and income verification to raise awareness and responsibility in leadership and direction of heads of units under the Ministry.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan emphasized that in recent times, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been directed by the Party and State in a drastic, synchronous and comprehensive manner, achieving many breakthrough results, and receiving the people's consensus, support and high appreciation.

The results achieved confirm that the goals, viewpoints, policies and solutions of the Party and State on preventing and combating corruption and negativity are completely correct, timely and suitable to practical requirements.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan, the Ministry's work to prevent and combat corruption and negativity has been carried out openly and transparently. Through inspection and examination of public service activities, no cases with signs of corruption have been discovered.
However, besides the achieved results, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan commented that the work of preventing and combating corruption and waste still has certain limitations.
Propaganda, dissemination and education on corruption prevention and control are not regular and continuous, and have not really penetrated the awareness and actions of civil servants, public employees and workers.
The attention of Party committees and leaders of some units is not adequate. Leaders do not have a correct understanding of the importance of identifying risks of corruption and negativity and implementing preventive measures.
Consulting, self-inspection and review work is still limited and does not meet the requirements. The effectiveness of job position transfer measures is not high.

Therefore, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan requested the leaders of agencies and units attending the training course to promote a sense of responsibility and maintain a sense of organizational discipline. The requirement is that each individual leader must focus on absorbing and proactively studying documents while actively exchanging and discussing difficulties and problems in the unit.
At the conference, the Ministry Inspectorate provided guidance on regulations on asset declaration according to the Anti-Corruption Law No. 36/2018/QH14, Decree 130/2020/ND-CP of the Government regulating the control of assets and income of persons holding positions and powers in agencies, organizations and units; Decision No. 70/QD-TTCP of 2021 promulgating replaced administrative procedures in the field of anti-corruption under the state management of the Government Inspectorate.
According to Chief Inspector of the Ministry Nguyen Tien Tung, the requirements of asset and income control activities are to ensure transparency, objectivity, fairness; to properly implement the authority, subjects, order, and procedures as prescribed by law; and not to infringe upon the property rights of those who are obliged to declare.
