Enjoy a world-class concert without spending a dime

This is a special program in the free outdoor concert activity with the theme "When music blends with art" organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum on the last Sunday afternoon of every month, to show gratitude to visitors, contribute to enhancing image communication, and attract visitors to the museum.

"Summer Melody" features artists from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Nguyen Khac Thanh and the special appearance of soprano Do Vu Lan Nhung.

In the program, Lan Nhung and the artists will bring to the audience many pieces of music by world-famous composers: "Carmen suite no 2" (Bizet), "The Entertainer" (Scott Joplin), "Summer Time" (Gershwin), "Non ti scorecard di me" (De Curtis), "Eine Klein Nachtmusik" (Mozart), "Waltz no 2" (Shostakovich), "Serenade" (Schubert), "Canon in D" (Pachelbel), "Habanera" from the opera "Carmen" (Bizet), "Je Veux Vivre" from the opera "Romeo & Juliette" (Gounod)...

Singer Do Vu Lan Nhung studied vocal music at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. In 2016, she received a scholarship for excellent students to study opera at the National University of Music in Bucharest (Romania).

During her studies, Lan Nhung won the first prize in the soprano category twice in the Canto competition in 2017 and 2019, was the lead singer in 2018-2019 for the Italian Cultural Institute in Bucharest and performed solo with the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra in 2019. In 2021, she was selected to sing solo at the Enescu Music Festival - one of the most prestigious music festivals in Europe.

Graduated with honors from the National University of Music in Bucharest after 5 years of studying abroad, Lan Nhung returned to Vietnam, participated in and won first prize in the 2023 National Chamber - Opera - Choir Singing Competition.

Currently, this talented singer is working at the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet and is successful with the leading role "Carmen" in the opera "Carmen" (G.Bizet) performed by the theater in 2024.
