Previously, at 5:20 p.m. on March 23, Ward 11 Police, Vung Tau City received a report from local residents that a ship had sunk in the waters of D10 Street, Ward 11. Immediately after receiving the report, Ward 11 Police went to the scene to handle the incident.


At the scene, it was determined that about 300m from shore there was a half-submerged fishing boat. Ward 11 Police reported to the Ward People's Committee, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, and forces from Chi Linh Border Guard Station and the Search and Rescue Center to coordinate.
Implementing the “4 on-the-spot” motto, Ward 11 Police mobilized Mr. Nguyen Van Sy and Mr. Le Van Hau to use two basket boats from the shore to the area where the boat was in distress to rescue the crew members. By 7 p.m. the same day, the forces and people had brought 7 crew members safely to shore.

At the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Anh Hung praised the sense of responsibility and noble gesture of the two citizens, contributing to protecting human lives and demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community.
