On September 8, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Document No. 2963/UBND-DT on implementing measures to repair and clear fallen trees after storm No. 3 (Yagi) in the city.
To coordinate the implementation of the work of cleaning up and overcoming the situation of broken and fallen trees affecting urban order, traffic safety and environmental sanitation, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of districts to direct and mobilize functional forces and socio-political organizations of the districts to urgently coordinate with the Department of Construction, the Department of Transport and units to maintain and preserve trees and environmental sanitation in accordance with the direction of the City People's Committee in Official Dispatch No. 2963/UBND-DT dated September 8, 2024.
Coordinate with management, maintenance and support units to support and replant leaning and fallen trees and organize the collection of broken and fallen tree trunks, leaves and branches to ensure environmental sanitation, ensure traffic safety and limit traffic congestion in the management area.
The Department of Transport directs the Traffic Inspectorate to mobilize vehicles (trucks) of units and enterprises in the area to coordinate with the Department of Construction and the People's Committees of districts to transport wood, branches, and leaves of broken and fallen trees collected by the People's Committees of districts to designated places; coordinate with the City Police to organize the issuance of permits for the above vehicles to carry out the collection of broken and fallen trees, environmental sanitation, and promptly clear and collect fallen trees and broken branches according to the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee.
