(HGO) - On the morning of March 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works, key to the transport sector, chaired the 10th meeting of the Steering Committee. The meeting was held in person combined with online with localities. According to the Ministry of Transport, ministries, branches and localities have been proactive, active, and coordinated in implementing assigned tasks. Regarding site clearance, most localities have actively and resolutely implemented this work, basically meeting the construction progress; the construction of resettlement areas and relocation of high-voltage power lines is still slow compared to requirements. For the Can Tho - Ca Mau component project including An Giang, Dong Thap, and Vinh Long provinces, 16.02 million m3 of sand has been arranged, while the source of 2.98 million m3 has not been identified. Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the ministries , branches , localities, contractors, and construction units for proactively and actively coordinating the implementation of assigned tasks with the spirit of "only discussing work, not backtracking"; investors and contractors continued to make efforts to organize construction with the determination to "overcome the sun, overcome the rain", "eat quickly , sleep urgently", work in "3 shifts", work on Saturdays and Sundays" to speed up the construction progress.

According to the Prime Minister, the country currently has 34 major projects, 86 important national component projects, and key transport sector projects in 46 provinces and centrally-run cities. Therefore, the entire local political system must participate in order to do a good job of site clearance. Governments at all levels must participate according to their functions, tasks, and powers in a spirit of openness and transparency; in some cases, general policies must be applied, and in others, specific policies must be applied.
