VIENTIANE TIMES. Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone solemnly opened the Lao Tourism Year 2024 with the theme “A Paradise of Culture, Nature and History”, with 79 activities expected to take place across the country.
TEMPO. The Indonesian Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has just announced a plan to implement a new salary mechanism for civil servants and public employees by 2025.
KOREA TIMES. The ratio of women holding executive positions at the top 100 companies in Korea reached 6% this year, an all-time high.
PTI. The Indian government will issue new regulations to deal with deepfake technology as deepfake videos of Indian film actresses surfaced on social media, sparking outrage in the country.
YONHAP. The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of Korea said that commemorating the 78th anniversary of the return of the Korean Provisional Government (KPG) (November 23, 1945-November 23, 2023), the first overseas exhibition introducing the history of the KPG was held in Beijing, China.
CHINA DAILY. China's Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Li Song called for increased efforts to support the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.
UNICEF. UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell called the Gaza Strip "the most dangerous place in the world for children", asserting that the ceasefire agreement is not enough to ensure the safety of this group of people.
AL JAZEERA. “We call for intensifying the confrontation with the occupation across the West Bank and all fronts,” said Abu Ubaida, spokesman for Hamas’ Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.
SKY NEWS. British Foreign Secretary David Cameron met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem after visiting the south to see communities affected by Hamas attacks on 7 October.

REUTERS. During a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez proposed an international peace conference on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict aimed at creating a Palestinian state.

TASS. Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Belarus to attend the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit in Minsk, chaired by President Alexander Lukashenko.
REUTERS. Frontex - the EU's border and coast guard agency announced that it will send additional units to Finland next week to help the Nordic country deal with the migrant situation on the border with Russia.
HUNGARY TODAY. The European Commission (EC) approved 900 million euros ($1 billion) in financial aid for Hungary as the EU tries to prevent Budapest from vetoing the bloc's plan on Ukraine.
DW. German authorities have conducted a nationwide raid as part of an investigation into a far-right group accused of spreading conspiracy theories and destabilizing political security through social media.
REUTERS. The Danish government reshuffled its cabinet , with Stephanie Lose, from the Liberal Party (Venstre), becoming Minister of Economy.
AFP. Italy's Senate has approved by 157 votes a new bill that would expand protections for women at risk of more serious violence and stem a wave of femicides that has sparked outrage across the country.
CNN. With 98% of votes counted in the Dutch general election, the Freedom Party (PVV) of far-right politician Geert Wilders won a landslide victory, winning 37 of the 150 seats in the National Assembly.

AP. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that a US warship patrolling the Red Sea shot down multiple attack drones launched from areas controlled by Houthi rebels in Yemen.
CNN. More than 15 train cars derailed in the southern US state of Kentucky, spilling molten sulfur, causing fires and prompting authorities to order evacuations of nearby communities just before Thanksgiving.
PRENSA LATINA. Cuba and the UK sign the Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation (ADPC) as the basis for bilateral relations on issues such as economic development, environment, human rights.
KPVI. Argentina withdrew from the race for the presidency of the UNESCO Executive Board after Javier Milei was elected president of the South American country.
EL PASO. Businessman Daniel Noboa was sworn in as Ecuador's president amid economic hardship and escalating violence in the streets and prisons among drug gangs.

MAP. Moroccan navy rescues 47 illegal immigrants on a ship off the Atlantic coast near the port of Dakhla.
AP. The United Nations announced plans to expand malaria vaccination in Africa after the first batch of vaccines arrived in Cameroon on November 21.

AFRICA NEWS. The Intergovernmental Authority on East African Development (IGAD) has called on the Ethiopian government and the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) rebel group to honor their commitment to the peace process.
