Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee said: In the past time, as the host unit, Binh Dinh province has closely coordinated with Vietnam Television to carefully prepare and create the most favorable conditions for the 42nd National Television Festival to take place successfully.
This is not only a festival for television workers but also an opportunity to honor excellent works and encourage creativity in the context of strong digital media development.

On this occasion, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan also hopes that the image of Binh Dinh will be spread more widely, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, especially the local tourism and communications industry.
It is known that the National Television Festival is organized by Vietnam Television every two years. This year, the 42nd National Television Festival attracted 734 entries from 100 units, competing in 11 categories.

In addition, the new point of this Festival is the change in the genre and number of entries. Among the 734 entries, there are 26 programs for children, 97 documentaries, 140 reports, 148 short reports, 46 science and education programs, 46 dialogue and discussion programs, 52 ethnic minority language television programs, 57 music and dance programs, 20 stage works, 34 television dramas and 66 video works on digital platforms.
In particular, along with judges working in the television industry, this year's festival has the participation of many artists such as: People's Artist Tan Minh, People's Artist My Uyen, People's Artist Nguyen Hoai Hue, Meritorious Artist Bui Nhu Lai, musician Giang Son, actress Ngoc Lan...

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, General Director of Vietnam Television, the 42nd National Television Festival took place at a very special time, with profound significance and many important marks for the television industry (such as the 55th anniversary of the first television program broadcast; 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day; 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 80 years of the founding of the country and also the occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the beloved Binh Dinh province March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025...).

In addition to selecting and honoring the best television works of the past two years, the highlight of this Festival is that the specialized events all aim at the goal of "digital transformation - content innovation - multi-platform development" - which can be considered the guiding principle for the Vietnamese television press system in the digital age and the era of the country's rise.
Seminars on “Skills of television journalists in the digital environment”, “Application of technology in digital transformation at television stations”, introduction of VTV Ratings measurement system… will create a forum for practical exchange, learning and career development, opening up opportunities for colleagues to share initiatives, experiences and breakthrough solutions for the industry.
In addition, exhibitions of advanced television technology and visits to unique locations in Binh Dinh will also contribute to enriching the experience and updating information for festival attendees.
