On the morning of November 24, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Son Commune, Ba Thuoc District, Thanh Hoa Province, said that Ms. VTC had been tested for HIV and the result was negative.
"Yesterday (November 23), Ms. C. and her husband voluntarily went to the Ba Thuoc District Medical Center to get tested for HIV. The test results showed that both husband and wife were HIV negative. Ms. C. is working with the police to clarify the subjects spreading false rumors on social networks," said Mr. Cong.

According to Mr. Cong, spreading rumors that Ms. C. was infected with HIV and then infecting many people caused panic in public opinion, greatly affecting Ms. C's family life.
After the police worked, some people who realized their wrongdoings came to Ms. C's house to apologize and correct the information.
Previously, social media was abuzz with information about a female employee named VTC working at a community eco-tourism area in Ba Thuoc district, infected with HIV and infecting nearly 100 men. Those who spread the news used Ms. C's image to attribute it to this female employee.
Ba Thuoc district police have investigated and confirmed that this information is false.
