In a statement posted on Telegram, the IDF said: "On the morning of September 14, under orders from the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (ISA), the Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out a precision strike on Hamas operating in two military structures in the Al Furqan area of Gaza City."
According to the IDF, the facilities are located near a site that was once a school and is now a refugee camp.
Earlier on September 14, Gaza's Civil Defense Authority said an Israeli airstrike on a house in Gaza City housing displaced Palestinians killed 11 people, while Israel claimed the attack targeted a Hamas militant.
“We have recovered the bodies of 11 people, including four children and three women, after an Israeli warplane hit a three-storey house belonging to the Bustan family,” said Mahmud Bassal, a spokesman for the agency.
The house in the eastern Al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City was attacked at around 1 a.m. local time, he said.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military said: “The IDF targeted a commander of a Hamas group in the Daraj Tuffah area who was involved in planning and carrying out operations against the IDF and the State of Israel. The IDF is aware of information that confirms that several civilians were killed as a result of the airstrike.”
Israeli forces carried out similar airstrikes in other areas of Hamas-controlled territory on the night of September 13, killing at least 10 people, Bassal said.
Gaza health authorities say the conflict in the enclave has claimed the lives of more than 41,180 Palestinians since October 7, 2023.
Regarding the conflict in Gaza, also on September 14, on social network X, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan posted an article affirming that the UAE is not ready to support a post-war plan for Gaza if a Palestinian state is not established.
