The President of Guinea-Bissau paid an official visit to Vietnam from September 5 to 8. This is the first visit to Vietnam by a Guinea-Bissau President since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1973.

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and his wife, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló and his wife paid an official visit to Vietnam from September 5 to 8, 2024. This is the first visit to Vietnam by a Guinea-Bissau President since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1973./.
