In 9 months, the total import-export turnover between Vietnam and the United States reached 99.12 billion USD. It can be affirmed that in 2024, trade between the two countries will exceed the 100 billion USD mark.
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, in September, Vietnam's exports to the United States reached more than 9.9 billion USD, thereby raising the total export turnover for the first 9 months to 88.16 billion USD.
Results in the first 9 months increased by 25.6% compared to the same period in 2023 (equivalent to an additional export turnover of nearly 18 billion USD).
The United States continues to be Vietnam's largest export market.
By the end of September, 12 groups of Vietnamese export goods to this market reached 1 billion USD or more, of which 3 groups reached more than 10 billion USD.
In contrast, imports of goods from the United States in the first 9 months reached 10.96 billion USD, up 6.7% over the same period last year.
The only billion-dollar import group was computers, electronic products and components with 3.2 billion USD.
With a total turnover of 99.12 billion USD in the past 9 months, it can be affirmed that in 2024, Vietnam - US import and export will reach and exceed the 100 billion USD mark.
