Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,500 - 6,600 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,400 - 6,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,000 - 5,200 VND/kg; Nhat rice was at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice was at 9,200 VND/kg.
In many localities today, the source is better, buying and selling transactions are steady. Recorded in localities today, small quantity, rice prices fluctuate little. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is steady, warehouses buy quite well, good rice is easy to sell, prices are stable.
Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), the warehouse buys a fair amount of all types, the warehouse buys IR50404 rice, prices of all types are stable. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), rice is available, the price of fragrant rice has increased slightly, the demand for buying is occasional.
At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained the same as at the end of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.
In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today are stable compared to the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 389 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
