Immediately after the People's Committee of Cam Khe district issued Plan No. 1295/KH-UBND on "Implementing Sub-project 1: Reducing information poverty under Project 6 - Communication and information poverty reduction in 2024", the People's Committee of Huong Lung commune has increased communication to raise people's awareness and responsibility for multidimensional poverty reduction. Thereby, helping the poor change their awareness, understand the meaning and purpose of poverty reduction, creating motivation to rise up and escape poverty sustainably.

Comrade Bui Van Truong - Vice Chairman of Huong Lung Commune People's Committee said: "Sustainable poverty reduction is a major and consistent policy of the Party and State. Therefore, communication in sustainable poverty reduction is one of the extremely important tasks of the locality to arouse the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, and self-rescue of the people and the community. To achieve this goal, the commune has synchronously deployed many solutions with the key task of issuing documents, guidelines, and propaganda plans on poverty reduction; then organizing poverty reduction communication activities on information in residential areas in the area; at the same time, regularly grasping the thoughts, aspirations, and proposals of the people to provide correct, accurate, and appropriate support. Only by creating motivation, trust, and providing quick, timely, and appropriate support in the right circumstances and actual needs can people escape poverty sustainably and limit the risk of falling back into poverty."
Every morning and afternoon, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Head of Huong Chan 1 area and many households in the commune listen to propaganda information on the commune's radio station disseminating the policies of the Party and the State; disseminating and orienting people to participate in and benefit from the program to support production development, multidimensional poverty reduction, socio-economic development activities as well as typical models in various fields...
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan said: Through listening to information on mass media, I find it very useful because in addition to understanding the policies of the Party and State, I also learn many good experiences through information, suitable for my family's circumstances to develop the economy in a sustainable way.
In addition to propaganda work, Huong Lung commune also coordinates with functional agencies of the province and district to send cadres to attend training courses on information and communication work on the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025; implementing policies to support people lacking capital and land for production... Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, workers, especially local leaders. At the same time, promoting the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of "mutual love" to support the poor so that no one is left behind...
Thanks to good communication work on sustainable poverty reduction, people have knowledge and skills to develop the economy and reduce poverty sustainably such as: Actively participating in training courses on transferring scientific and technical advances; properly implementing the crop restructuring plan; closely following the fields to detect pests and diseases and take appropriate preventive measures; strengthening disinfection work on livestock and poultry to prevent epidemics. In addition, people also actively develop agricultural economic models; increasingly participating in labor as workers in enterprises and production facilities, it is estimated that the whole commune has about 1,250 workers working regularly outside the commune, with an average income of over 7 million VND/person/month; people participate in small trading services, small mechanics... which have increased the income value for people; significantly contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Thanks to the organization of regular and continuous information and propaganda, the key and central propaganda content will contribute to the effective implementation of sustainable poverty reduction work in the commune in 2024 and the following years. In 2024, the poverty rate of Huong Lung commune will decrease to 5.14% and the near-poor rate will decrease to 2.88%.
