On April 11, a working delegation from World Vision (WVI) USA led by Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Chief Representative of WVI in Vietnam, and the working delegation conducted a field survey of programs and projects funded by WVI in Nhu Xuan district.

The delegation included comrade Nguyen Van Thi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of relevant provincial departments and the People's Committee of Nhu Xuan district.

In Nhu Xuan district, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi and the delegation of WVI inspected the construction of 4 classrooms of Thuong Ninh Primary School sponsored by the Embassy of Japan and WVI; visited Thuong Ninh Secondary School and attended the Active Citizens group meeting supported by WVI to train teachers to guide and support children in implementing the model; visited the Rain Gauge Station and Flood Warning System - Digital Transformation Project for Adaptation sponsored by the Austrian Development Agency installed in Binh Luong commune; visited the honey production farmer association group in Binh Luong commune sponsored by World Vision Hong Kong.

Currently, in Thanh Hoa province, there are 56 foreign non-governmental organizations with registration certificates to operate locally. The organizations are implementing 40 programs and projects with a disbursement value of nearly 7.2 million USD in 2024. Of which, WVI is implementing 16 regional programs and projects in the districts of Nhu Xuan, Thuong Xuan, Ba Thuoc, Nhu Thanh, Quan Hoa and Thach Thanh with a committed budget for the period 2024-2028 of more than 7.7 million USD. In Nhu Xuan district, WVI is currently implementing 2 projects: Nhu Xuan regional program and the project "Digital transformation for adaptation".

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Chief Representative of WVI in Vietnam, respectfully expressed his deep gratitude to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, departments, district and commune People's Committees for always being active and effective in coordinating the implementation of WVI's programs and projects. Thanks to this strong cooperative relationship, WVI can implement many initiatives that have a profound impact on children's lives. During the field visit to Nhu Xuan, we all witnessed firsthand the positive impacts of WVI's programs not only on children but also on the whole community.
Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay highly appreciated the effective coordination that helped programs and projects to be implemented on schedule, in line with the development orientation of the localities. Through the support in emergency relief work after Typhoon Yagi of WVI, affected households received timely support to restore their lives. Through the support for opening a microfinance branch in Ba Thuoc district, low-income households have access to capital and contributed to promoting sustainable economic development. Currently, WVI is promoting the opening of a new regional support program in Muong Lat district and organizing a survey of a new program in Nhu Xuan district. Therefore, in the coming time, WVI hopes to continue to receive the attention and support of Thanh Hoa province through guidance and support from the provincial to district and commune levels, so that regional programs, projects and microfinance branches operate effectively, in line with local development priorities. At the same time, timely information, especially in the context of restructuring the government apparatus at all levels, helps WVI's team adapt and maintain effective program implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi sincerely thanked Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Chief Representative of WVI in Vietnam and the WVI delegation for taking the time to participate in the field survey in Nhu Xuan district. At the same time, he highly appreciated the positive effects of foreign non-governmental aid programs and projects being implemented in the province. Although the projects are small in scale, they provide direct support, contributing to improving the lives and raising awareness for a part of the people, especially the poor and children in the project areas. The capital of the projects is used for the right purposes and effectively. Most of the projects are implemented on schedule, highly appreciated by local authorities and people. The funded projects are very meaningful, bringing benefits and happiness to the people and the community.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi also briefly informed about the outstanding results in socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province achieved in 2024 and the first months of 2025. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi emphasized that Thanh Hoa province always creates favorable conditions for non-governmental organizations, including WVI, to operate through programs and projects to help people in remote, isolated and extremely disadvantaged areas. Investment projects in Thanh Hoa province ensure the conditions prescribed by Vietnamese law and the province will create the most favorable conditions for the projects to be implemented effectively, so that people and communities can benefit. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi hopes that in the coming time, WVI will continue to pay attention to expanding many special projects for mountainous districts, on education, clean water, and livelihoods for people.
