On February 15, at Dong Ho Eden Wedding and Convention Center (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), the Long An Communities Liaison Committee in Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting to celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025.
Attending the event were former Politburo member, former President - Truong Tan Sang ; Lieutenant General Phan Van Viet - Former Political Commissar of General Department II (Ministry of National Defense); Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission - Tran Van Dung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa and leaders of departments, branches, sectors, provincial unions and districts, towns and cities in the province.

In 2024, the Long An Compatriot Liaison Committee in Ho Chi Minh City mobilized more than 5.2 billion VND to support the homeland. In particular, social security work was focused on such as donating 16 charity houses, issuing 182 health insurance cards, sponsoring 50 eye surgeries and organizing free medical examination and treatment for more than 1,200 people; supporting 10 disadvantaged students studying in Ho Chi Minh City, each worth 2 million VND,....
Rural transport infrastructure has also received attention with the construction of five bridges and upgrading of many rural roads in Thu Thua, Tan Tru and Chau Thanh districts, with a total cost of more than VND3.4 billion.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive contributions of Long An compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City in building and developing their homeland in recent times.
“Our fellow countrymen are an important resource, an inseparable part of Long An that we always respect and appreciate. And today, our fellow countrymen are more closely connected and continue to be nurtured when we gather here together to discuss the work and goals for 2025,” said Mr. Pham Tan Hoa.

He also hopes that in the coming time, Long An province will continue to receive valuable and affectionate support from Long An compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City. Continue to promote the fine traditions of the homeland, maintain the spirit of solidarity, especially pay attention to investment, call for investment in Long An province, contribute to building Long An province on the upcoming development path.
Long An Provincial People's Committee also issued a Decision to recognize the Long An Compatriot Liaison Committee in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025, Mr. Pham Tan Hoa, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long An province, sent to Long An compatriots and their families who are working, studying and living in Ho Chi Minh City a new year of good health, peace, prosperity, and many new victories.
Leaders award certificates of merit to groups and individuals
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 21 individuals with achievements in contributing and mobilizing funds for rural traffic construction and social work in Long An province in 2024.

Within the framework of the program, about 40 booths, including many booths of Long An local products, were displayed to introduce to customers at the meeting.
