Over 960 million VND donated to the Fund "For the Poor"

In 2023, the Ham Tan District Fund Mobilization Committee has set out a plan to strive to mobilize 750 million VND for the Fund "For the Poor" and implement social security programs.

Since the beginning of the year, organizations, individuals and businesses have contributed VND962,983,373 to the “For the Poor” Fund at all levels in the district, reaching 128.4%, exceeding the assigned target of VND212,983,373. From this fund, the “For the Poor” Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels in the district has organized visits and gifts to encourage the poor on holidays and Tet; helped poor and near-poor households build and repair houses, supported livelihood capital for poor households and social security work.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district said that in the first 6 months of the year, the District “For the Poor” Fund Mobilization Committee issued a decision to build 7 houses for poor households with a total amount of 350 million VND. Up to now, 4 houses have been completed and put into use. Coordinated to mobilize donors to donate 1,532 gifts, totaling more than 715 million VND to poor families, disadvantaged families, and vulnerable groups in society.

In the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the district will continue to closely coordinate with local authorities to promote the implementation of the "For the Poor" Fund; together with member organizations to propagate and mobilize all resources in society to join hands to help the poor gradually stabilize their lives and escape poverty sustainably....
