More than 80,000 articles about happy schools from students nationwide

NDO - On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, the 2024 Happy School Writing and Voting Contest Honoring Ceremony organized by Vietnam Children Magazine took place on November 17 in Hanoi.

Launched from August 16 to October 20, after about 2 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee of the contest received more than 80,000 entries from students. Many entries expressed their dreams and aspirations for a school environment that they desired.

With two categories including writing contest and online voting, the contest spread the message of building a safe, friendly and humane school environment. Thereby, creating a connection between students, families, schools and the community.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Children Magazine Nguyen Manh Huy said: “Each article submitted to the contest is a profound story, truly reflecting the feelings and wishes of the students. We respect and appreciate the students' sharing of memorable moments at their school, with their teachers and friends."

The 2024 Happy School Writing and Voting Contest was initiated to create a useful playground for students to express their feelings, thoughts and desires about a happy learning environment.

According to journalist Nguyen Manh Huy, the contest is not only a place for children to express their thoughts about happiness, but also to spread positive energy for a community of love, solidarity and mutual respect.

The organizing committee honored schools with achievements in the happy school voting contest.

In the voting category, the contest also received positive responses and participation from nearly 1,000 schools nationwide. Many units achieved criteria such as: safe and friendly schools, schools with green learning and playing spaces, schools with attractive teaching methods, etc.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee selected outstanding individuals and groups, honored schools with the highest voting scores nationwide, and typical articles, contributing to the movement of developing happy schools and improving the quality of education in Vietnam.

"We hope that this contest will be the beginning of innovative educational initiatives and projects, aiming to build a generation of Vietnamese children who are not only good at knowledge but also complete in personality and emotions. Let's build a happy school together, where every day at school is truly a happy day," Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy shared.

Participating in the 2024 Happy School Writing and Voting Contest, many schools in Hanoi have implemented it extensively, encouraging students to participate. Of the total 80,000 works sent by students nationwide, about 60,000 entries were from Hanoi students.

Ms. Vuong Huong Giang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, commented: “Every day at school is not only a learning journey, but also an opportunity for students to discover themselves and build beautiful memories with teachers and friends. The enthusiastic participation of students and the support from their families and schools have created great success for this year's contest, affirming the value of a happy and friendly school environment in educational life.”
