Questioning 2 ministers
Regarding supervisory activities, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized questioning and answering activities for the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Conduct thematic supervision on "Implementation of Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 and Resolution No. 51/2017/QH14 of the National Assembly on innovation of general education programs and textbooks".
The content of the questioning and supervision sessions is broadcast live on radio and television for people and voters to follow.
In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee listened to a report on the initial results of the National Assembly's supervision on "Implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on the National Target Program on new rural construction for the 2021-2025 period, sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021-2025 period, and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2030 period".
The National Assembly Standing Committee commented on the draft Supervisory Plan and report outline of the National Assembly Standing Committee's Supervisory Delegation on 3 topics.
Specifically, the implementation of policies and laws on innovation of the organization and management system, improving the quality and efficiency of operations of public service units in the period of 2018 - 2023.
Implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and resolutions of the National Assembly on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023 (Long Thanh Airport project; North-South Expressway project in the East phase 2017-2020 and 2021-2025; Ring Road 4 project - Hanoi Capital Region; Ring Road 3 project of Ho Chi Minh City; Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway project phase 1; Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project phase 1; Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway project phase 1)
Implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development from 2015 to the end of 2023.
The National Assembly's report on people's petitions in July 2023 was also discussed at this session.
Approval of ambassadorial appointment
Regarding decisions on important issues, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered and approved the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution 657/2019/UBTVQH14 dated March 13, 2019 of the National Assembly Standing Committee specifying the positions and titles of people's public security officers with the highest ranks of Lieutenant General and Major General not yet specified in the Law on People's Public Security.
Consider and approve the Prime Minister's proposal on the appointment of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the period 2023 - 2026.
Comment on and consider approving the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee stipulating that inspection agencies are allowed to deduct a portion of recovered amounts discovered through inspection after submitting them to the state budget.
In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee commented on the draft Report on the 5-year review of the implementation of Joint Resolution No. 403/2017/NQLT-UBTVQH14-CP-DCTUBTWMTQVN dated June 15, 2017 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front detailing the forms of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
