On the morning of February 19, in Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc), Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association organized the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the year of Giap Thin 2024. Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Nguyen Quang Tung - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association; representatives of provincial departments and branches and a large number of farmer members.
Following President Ho Chi Minh's teaching "Spring is the season for tree planting, making the country more and more Springy", in recent years, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association has launched "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho".
This is an annual activity of the association at all levels, always receiving the consensus and support of the Party Committee and government; the active participation of officials and farmer members in contributing labor and materials to plant, care for and protect trees.
As a result, up to now, in the whole province, all levels of the association have organized the construction of 2,125 model farmer gardens, 880 new rural standard gardens, 1,089 "Farmer tree rows in gratitude to Uncle Ho", 124 "Farmer tree gardens in gratitude to Uncle Ho", with a total of over 1 million trees planted.
It is noteworthy that the work of caring for, protecting and developing tree rows and gardens continues to be effectively implemented in all levels of the association and has actively contributed to environmental protection, socio-economic development and new rural construction in the locality.
At the launching ceremony, comrade Vo Van Phong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association emphasized: "In order for the results of this launching ceremony to spread widely in the province, the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee requests that all levels of the association continue to promote propaganda about the purpose and meaning of tree planting to members, in order to raise people's awareness of the role and meaning of tree planting.
Strive for each association branch to plant at least 1 row of trees; each cadre and farmer member to plant at least 1 tree, contributing to building a green - clean - beautiful village.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, officials, civil servants and employees of the Provincial Farmers' Association and Nghi Loc District Farmers' Association participated in planting 140 black star trees on the 700m long central road of Nghi Trung commune.
Responding to the launching ceremony of the Provincial Farmers' Association, Tet Giap Thin 2024, Farmers' Associations of districts, towns and cities in the province launched a campaign to respond to "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho".
