Online conference to disseminate and thoroughly understand the works of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

On the morning of August 9, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee held a conference to disseminate, study and propagate the content of the book "Resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The conference was held with the participation of nearly 2,000 delegates who are key officials in both direct and online forms at 14 connecting points across the province.

Attending the Conference were comrades: Duong Van An, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Hoai Anh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Doan Anh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders; comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the National Assembly Delegation, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, departments, branches, sectors and organizations.

At the conference, delegates listened to Comrade Nguyen Thai Hoc, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, disseminate and thoroughly understand the content of the work "Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. In which, the following contents were emphasized: Why must the book be compiled; The process of compiling and publishing the book; The layout of the book; The value and core content of the book and the impressive new points of the book.

The Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission said that the compilation of this book comes from the results of the fight against corruption and negativity achieved over the past 10 years. The book consists of 3 parts: The first part of the work is "Some issues drawn from the practice of the fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam" which clarifies a number of theoretical issues and summarizes the practice of the fight against corruption and negativity in our country over the past 10 years. This part also points out the tasks and solutions to prevent and repel corruption and negativity in the coming time. The second part is the articles and speeches of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong on the work of Party building and rectification; on cultivating and training the ethics and lifestyle of cadres and party members. From there, we come to a consistent motto of "Preventing corruption and negativity from early on, from afar, from both the top and the bottom". The third part is “Unanimity from top to bottom, clarity from top to bottom” including opinions from all walks of life, National Assembly deputies, and foreign politicians and scholars expressing their trust, support, and appreciation for the work of anti-corruption and anti-corruption in Vietnam under the leadership of the Party and the role of the General Secretary.

At the same time, it also provides a theoretical and practical basis to refute the distorted arguments of hostile forces; strengthen the trust and support of people of all walks of life in the Party's leadership in the fight against corruption and negativity” - Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission shared.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee - Standing Deputy Secretary - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said that organizing research, study, dissemination and propaganda of the book's content aims to raise awareness and political ideology for cadres and party members throughout the province, thereby helping cadres, party members and people deeply understand the content and significance of the work for the current fight against corruption and negativity. From there, apply the viewpoints and guiding thoughts of the General Secretary to the practical work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity and building and rectifying the Party.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that after the conference, Party organizations in the province will promote the study of the contents of the work to deeply penetrate the majority of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, union members, association members and people of all walks of life, creating a unified will in awareness and action. In addition, thoroughly and seriously implement the policies and regulations of the Party and the State, the documents of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Promote the implementation of the Resolutions of the 4th Central Committee, 11th and 12th terms and the Conclusion of the 4th Central Committee Conference, 13th term on building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be truly clean and strong, associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh. At the same time, request organizations, agencies, units and localities to continue to organize the political activity "Keeping the Party member's oath" in a practical, effective and quality manner. Also in the conference program, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An reported to delegates some results of socio-economic development, Party building work, and Mass Mobilization work of the province in the first 6 months of 2023.

Accordingly, in the first 6 months of 2023, Binh Thuan has implemented many drastic and synchronous solutions to develop the socio-economy, maintain political security - defense, and social order in the locality. The total product in the area GRDP increased by 7.76%, ranking 11th out of 63 provinces/cities. The tourism industry has recovered and grown strongly, especially the good organization of events and activities of the National Tourism Year - Binh Thuan Green Convergence. The whole province is estimated to welcome 4.7 million visitors, with revenue in the top 10 localities in the country with 11.3 trillion VND. Industrial production value increased by 3.54%; the decision approving the investment policy of the Son My LNG port warehouse project in Ham Tan district with a total value of more than 1.3 billion USD was handed over. Binh Thuan is also focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles in key, large-scale projects and works to promote the province's socio-economic development. Continue urban beautification, environmental protection, improve administrative reform indicators, improve medical facilities, schools, cultural institutions, and increase public investment disbursement. Party building and mass mobilization work are maintained, notably the good implementation of the political activity "Keeping the Party member's oath" in 100% of Party cells and grassroots Party committees in the whole province, bringing practical results. Contributing to raising awareness of self-training, self-examination, self-correction, preventing degradation in political ideology, lifestyle ethics, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" among cadres and Party members.
