Following the success in implementing the socio-economic development cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces in 2023, this year, Ho Chi Minh City and these localities continue to cooperate. From April 3-4, the Conference to review the implementation of the socio-economic development cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces in 2023, the cooperation implementation plan for 2024 and the Central Highlands Investment Promotion Conference will be held in Ho Chi Minh City.
During the Conference, a series of activities will take place in response to the Program of preliminary review of socio-economic development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces, including main groups of activities such as: Conference on connecting departments, branches, sectors and enterprises between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces; Conference on preliminary review of the implementation of the Agreement on socio-economic development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces in 2023, cooperation implementation plan in 2024; Investment Promotion Conference between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces in 2024.
In particular, at the preliminary conference, there will be a discussion on the exchange of minutes of cooperation and support in the fields of social security, sustainable poverty reduction, infrastructure, cultural exchange, etc. for the period of 2024-2025 between 5 districts and cities of Ho Chi Minh City and 5 districts of the Central Highlands provinces, specifically: District 1 People's Committee cooperates and supports Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province, District 3 People's Committee cooperates and supports Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province, District 5 People's Committee cooperates and supports Dak Po district, Gia Lai province, District 10 People's Committee cooperates and supports Lak district, Dak Lak province and Thu Duc City People's Committee cooperates and supports Dak Glei district, Kontum province.
In addition, the conference also held a meeting to exchange minutes of cooperation and support in the medical field for the period 2024-2025 between 05 hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City and 05 hospitals in the Central Highlands provinces.

In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will preside over and units under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will carry out 12 exhibitions, festivals, supply-demand connection programs, fairs; regional/national conferences, seminars, and talks.
Of which, 10 events held in Ho Chi Minh City include: (1) Investment promotion conference; (2) Festival of Craft Village Essence and Regional Specialties in 2024; (3) Program of regional training and education conference between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities; (4) Exhibition week of OCOP products and typical products of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region; (5) Exhibition Fair of high-tech agriculture and varieties in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024; (6) Week of OCOP products, typical regional products and production - preservation - processing technology of agricultural products in 2024; (7) Conference connecting supply and demand between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities; (8) Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair (ITE); (9) Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival; (10) Connecting Innovation and Startup events between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces (coordinating in Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Startup Week 2024).
And 2 events held in the Central Highlands provinces, specifically in Dak Nong province: (1) Building a booth to promote and advertise tourism of Ho Chi Minh City in Dak Nong province; (2) Seminar on production, supply of breeding animals and pig farming techniques.
Along with that, the events chaired by the People's Committees of the Central Highlands provinces include 04 events: Dak Nong Province organizes the Vietnam Brocade Culture Festival; Gia Lai Province: The 3rd Gia Lai Province Ethnic Culture Festival; Lam Dong Province: Flower Festival in Da Lat City; Kon Tum Province: Ginseng Festival.
In 2024 and 2025, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Highlands provinces (Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Lam Dong) also agreed to continue implementing 32 bilateral cooperation activities./.
