Minister of Industry and Trade is head of the trade negotiation delegation with the US

According to information in the Government Newspaper , the Prime Minister 's Decision takes effect from today, April 12.

The Head of the Government Negotiation Delegation is Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; the Deputy Head of the Delegation is Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien is the head of the trade negotiation delegation with the US.

Members of the Negotiating Delegation include: Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Hoang Trung; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Duc Long; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet; Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Quang Dung; Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan; Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Nguyen Quoc Dung.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is the standing agency of the Negotiation Delegation. The Negotiation Delegation has a Working Group consisting of Department-level civil servants of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant ministries and agencies.

The task of the Negotiation Delegation is to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to develop scenarios and negotiation plans with the US on reciprocal trade agreements, in the spirit of ensuring national and ethnic interests and harmonious benefits and shared risks.

Conduct negotiations with the US side to reach a reciprocal trade agreement that is appropriate, balanced, stable, sustainable, effective, mutually respectful and mutually beneficial.

The delegation will report to the Prime Minister on the negotiation process and results; propose to competent authorities necessary measures and policies to implement the agreement after it is signed.
