On the evening of March 19, the Cambodian team failed to surprise the Vietnamese team when they lost 1-2. Midfielder Nguyen Hai Long opened the scoring, defender Nguyen Van Vi scored for the home team. Player Bong Samuel equalized 1-2, but Cambodia could not earn a draw.

After the match, Cambodia coach Koji Gyotoku said: "I would like to thank the Vietnam Football Federation for organizing this meaningful match for the Cambodia team."

"It's true that in the first half we couldn't play our way, but in the second half I found a way to cope and the Cambodian team played better. We had chances and scored goals.

In fact, the Vietnamese team played better than Cambodia in many aspects such as physical strength and technique. This match gave the Cambodian players a lot of experience. Unfortunately, we still lost," said the Cambodian coach.

The Japanese coach continued: "Although not really satisfied with the result, Cambodia's performance was not bad. We had a beautiful goal from player Bong Samuel.

I also saw the integration and overall contribution of the naturalized players in the Cambodian team. They made a lot of effort and played very hard."
