Protesters, including many members of activist groups such as Jewish Voice for Peace, chanted “Let Gaza Live” and “Stop Funding Genocide” in front of the iconic Manhattan building near Wall Street.

Although none of the protesters made it inside the Stock Exchange, dozens of people broke through security barriers set up by police outside the main building on Broad Street.
A police spokesman said 206 people were arrested. Jewish groups involved said about 500 people attended the protest. There was also a small group of pro-Israel protesters at the scene, carrying Israeli flags.
Protesters expressed anger at US defense contractors and weapons manufacturers. Others also chanted slogans against Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
On social network X, Jewish Voice for Peace said: “Hundreds of Jews and friends are blocking the New York Stock Exchange to demand that the US stop arming Israel and stop profiting from genocide.”
Israel's military offensive in Gaza has killed nearly 42,000 Palestinians and displaced most of Gaza's population, according to reports from health officials in Gaza.
