On March 21, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced traffic restrictions on Nguyen Hue Street (District 1) to serve the screening of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
According to the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City, this traffic organization is based on Document No. 997 dated March 1, 2024 of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the installation of LED screens to serve football fans in the city to watch the Vietnam National Football Team compete in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers; at the same time, based on the request of Ho Chi Minh City Football Joint Stock Company in Official Dispatch No. 11 dated March 12, 2024 on broadcasting football to serve football fans to watch the Vietnam National Football Team compete in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1).

In order to ensure traffic safety and order during the screening of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announces as follows:
Restricting vehicles from circulating on Nguyen Hue Street (from Le Loi Street to Ton Duc Thang Street) at the following times: March 21 (from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.), March 26 (from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.).
“Drivers must comply with the commands of traffic controllers and the road signal system. For vehicles of organizations and individuals in the affected area who need to travel during the restricted time, please contact the Department of Culture and Sports directly for support and to facilitate traffic through the event area” - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport noted.
