The meeting was attended by 840 citizens representing 2,381 citizens who completed their military service and public security service and returned to their localities in 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau reviewed the glorious revolutionary tradition of Hai Duong province. During the resistance war against French colonialism, American imperialism and the wars to defend the Fatherland, Hai Duong had more than 38,940 martyrs, 33,167 wounded and sick soldiers, more than 4,000 mothers were awarded and posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother, and tens of thousands of people participated in resistance activities. 146 children of Hai Duong became general officers in the Vietnam People's Army and Public Security.
Continuing that glorious tradition, to contribute to protecting and firmly building the Fatherland, in recent years, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army of Hai Duong province has always received special attention from Party committees and authorities at all levels, ensuring 100% of the military recruitment target every year.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed that besides paying attention to socio-economic development, Hai Duong always does well in military rear policies, especially the regimes and policies for demobilized soldiers.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau said that the year 2025 has special significance. This is the last year to accelerate and make a breakthrough to successfully complete the socio-economic development goals of the entire 2020 - 2025 term. The province will focus on implementing well the organization and apparatus arrangement in the direction of "Straight - compact - strong - effective - efficient - effective". By 2030, the province is determined to achieve the goal of becoming a modern industrial province. The provincial planning has been approved by the Prime Minister with many industrial parks and industrial clusters established. In particular, the province's specialized economic zone with a scale of 5,300 hectares is being appraised by the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This is the driving force to attract investment, promote economic development and create jobs for local workers. The Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate to support the connection of businesses in the province with demobilized soldiers, creating conditions for participation in the supply and production chain, contributing to the economic growth of the province.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development encourages and supports demobilized soldiers to participate in high-tech agricultural models, rural economic development and new rural construction. The Department of Science and Technology advises and supports demobilized soldiers in researching and applying scientific and technological advances in production and business, promoting innovation and improving labor productivity.
The Department of Information and Communications builds an information and communication system to provide timely information on support policies, job opportunities and vocational training for demobilized soldiers. The Department of Home Affairs advises the Provincial People's Committee on mechanisms and policies to help demobilized soldiers have the opportunity to recruit civil servants and public employees, and participate in state management if they meet the prescribed conditions and standards. The Center for Employment Services - Vocational Education proactively advises and orients careers suitable to market needs, helping demobilized soldiers choose stable careers.
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in the province organize the reception and registration of demobilized soldiers into the reserve force. Take full care of military rear policies, pay attention to the work of admitting party members, especially soldiers who have been trained to join the Party. Guide citizens to carry out procedures to support trained workers according to Resolution No. 35 dated December 11, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council. At the same time, coordinate with relevant departments and branches to support demobilized soldiers in procedures related to land, production and business in agriculture, industry and handicrafts. Connect with commercial banks and credit institutions to support loans for start-ups and family economic development.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau believes that with the attention and support of Party committees and authorities at all levels, along with the valuable baggage of the spirit of discipline, bravery and strong will of soldiers, these citizens will proactively seize opportunities, determine the right direction, establish themselves and their careers firmly, choose suitable jobs, rise up to become entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, and actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the province.
At the meeting, 6 vocational training institutions and 7 large enterprises in the province provided advice and career orientation for citizens who have completed their military and police service and will return to their localities in 2025.
