In recent years, the province's humanitarian blood donation movement has increasingly spread, attracting a large number of cadres, union members, association members and people to participate voluntarily; the number of blood units received each year is always higher than the previous year, reaching and exceeding the assigned targets. From the beginning of 2023 to now, Ha Tinh has organized 18 blood donation campaigns, receiving nearly 4,400 blood units, ensuring the supply of blood for emergency and patient treatment.
In 2023, Ha Tinh is honored to be one of 48 provinces and cities to organize the program "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood". The program will be implemented from June 1 to July 30, 2023, with the target of receiving 1,000 units of blood to provide to medical facilities, serving the needs of emergency and treatment for patients.
Launching the Red Journey Program in Ha Tinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau acknowledged the efforts and results that the steering committees for voluntary blood donation at all levels have achieved in recent times.

In order for the Red Journey Program in particular and the voluntary blood donation movement in general to go deeper and meet the need for blood, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on all people to actively participate in blood donation and mobilize more people to donate blood.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Ha Tinh Red Cross Society to proactively advise and develop plans suitable for each period, closely coordinate with agencies, departments and branches to effectively implement the movement; coordinate to establish, consolidate and maintain the activities of voluntary blood donation clubs, clubs of people with the same blood type, expand the subjects participating in blood donation...; pay attention to innovating propaganda forms, close to each subject; promptly commend and reward, spread and replicate collectives and individuals with many achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement.
In response to the "World Blood Donor Day", on this occasion, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation honored 1 collective and 19 outstanding individuals in the voluntary blood donation movement in 2023.
Dr. Tran Ngoc Que - Director of the National Blood Center and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Ha Tinh to 1 collective and 19 outstanding individuals in the voluntary blood donation movement.
On this occasion, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation launched the Blood Donation Festival “Thanh Sen Red Drops”. The program attracted enthusiastic participation from more than 500 cadres, union members, and youth from agencies, units, and enterprises located in the province and collected 350 units of blood to serve the emergency and treatment of patients.
At the 2nd Red Journey Program, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation launched the Blood Donation Festival "Thanh Sen Red Drops" attracting more than 500 cadres and union members to participate and collect 350 units of blood.
BIDV Ha Tinh presented 20 gifts (each gift worth 500 thousand VND) to 20 patients undergoing dialysis at Ha Tinh General Hospital.
