600 soldiers of the Northeast Mobile Police Regiment enthusiastically participated in voluntary blood donation.

On March 23, in Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province, the Northeast Mobile Police Regiment under the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security held a launching ceremony for the first voluntary blood donation program in 2025 with the theme "A drop of blood given, a life left behind, Mobile Police are ready to donate".

This is an activity in response to Youth Month towards the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26) and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, and the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the People's Public Security force.

The blood donation session was conducted by doctors from the Department of Hematology - Blood Transfusion, Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital.

At the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Northeast Mobile Police Regiment highlighted the meaningful role of voluntary blood donation activities that have been launched to each officer and soldier over the past many years; becoming a continuous movement of young people's police serving the people and spreading strongly in the social community.

This is an annual activity of the unit with practical significance to promote the spirit of volunteerism and solidarity for the community. Thereby, raising awareness of the role, importance and noble gesture of voluntary blood donation, arousing the spirit of mutual love, solidarity and comradeship in each officer and soldier, ready to share their blood to save their comrades, beloved comrades and the lives of the people.

Before donating blood, all soldiers are given a health check and tested to ensure safe blood donation.

Soldier Luong The Anh said that this was his first time donating blood so he felt very nervous.

"The doctors carefully guided me on my diet and lifestyle after donating blood. I feel very proud to be a police officer who can donate my blood to the people," The Anh shared.

Among those who donated blood were officers, managers and teachers of the Northeast Mobile Police Regiment.

Speaking with Tien Phong newspaper, Lieutenant Tran Dai Nghia - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Northeast Mobile Police Regiment, Mobile Police Command - Ministry of Public Security, said that the unit's youth had 2 blood donation campaigns, the first campaign had 600 eligible soldiers registered to donate blood.

"With the spirit of volunteering and serving the people of the youth and the image of the People's Police soldier ready to sacrifice, we have organized many blood donation activities in the past time. I myself have donated blood more than 10 times to respond to the youth movement", the Secretary of the Youth Union of the Northeast Mobile Police Regiment shared.

At the end of the launching program, the Organizing Committee received 550 units of blood. The volunteer blood will be promptly added to the blood bank, providing for emergency activities and treatment of patients in local hospitals.
