Ha Tinh has 2 cooperatives receiving "CoopStar Awards" 2025

The ceremony to honor typical cooperatives and award the "Cooperative Star - CoopStar Awards 2025" was organized by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance in Hanoi on the evening of April 11, 2025. This is one of the activities of the month of action for cooperatives in 2025 launched by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has honored 100 outstanding cooperatives nationwide, including 55 agricultural cooperatives, 45 non-agricultural cooperatives and People's Credit Funds. These are humane business units, for the progress of society.

This year, Ha Tinh province is honored to have 2 cooperatives honored: Phu Sang Seafood Processing Service Cooperative (Thien Cam town, Cam Xuyen) and Quynh Luong Agricultural Service Cooperative (Trung Luong ward, Hong Linh town).

This is the second year that Phu Sang Seafood Processing Service Cooperative has been honored by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance with the "Cooperative Star - CoopStar Awards".

Phu Sang Seafood Processing Service Cooperative was established at a time when the economy was heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, thanks to the State's support with the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, and the determination of its members to affirm their brands, Phu Sang fish sauce was recognized as meeting the provincial 3-star OCOP standard after only 1 year of its establishment.

The cooperative focuses on creating uniform products in large enough quantities and constantly improving packaging and labels; proactively registering intellectual property, updating product information, accurately and publicly via QR codes to create trust for the market. In 2024, the Phu Sang fish sauce brand will be upgraded to the provincial 4-star OCOP standard.

Phu Sang Seafood Processing Service Cooperative creates regular jobs for dozens of local workers, 100% of workers are supported to pay social insurance. The cooperative invests in boats, fishing gear and purchases seafood for 64 boat owners in Cam Xuyen district. In 2024, the unit's revenue will be nearly 20 billion VND.

For nearly 30 years of operation, Quynh Luong Agricultural Service Cooperative (Hong Linh Town) has always focused on building a true collective economic model with many industries: supplying agricultural materials, in-field irrigation services, collecting and treating waste, planting and protecting forests.

With efforts to overcome difficulties, the Cooperative has built a development direction for each year and each stage to catch up with development, becoming a reliable support for 2,500 members. The Cooperative has made important contributions to restructuring the agricultural sector, effectively implementing the policy of land conversion and accumulation, making Trung Luong ward a bright spot in the land conversion and accumulation process in Hong Linh town.

The 100 cooperatives nationwide honored on this occasion continue to maintain the title of pioneers in cooperation and association, applying scientific and technological advances in production and business, developing products with high economic efficiency; building and developing product brands, enhancing competitiveness in the market; important cores in the movement to develop collective economy and cooperatives in Vietnam.
