Hanoi 'names' cars speeding up to 1,500 times/month

The Hanoi Department of Transport has just issued a decision to revoke 1,665 badges and license plates of transport business vehicles due to speeding violations in May and June through data extraction on the processing system and data exploitation from the GSHT device of the Vietnam Road Administration.

Typically, vehicles of Truong Hai Transport Service Cooperative have exceeded the speed limit 1,457 times/month. Similarly, Truong Hai Automobile Cooperative also has vehicles exceeding the speed limit 1,253 times/month.

The highest number was the tractor-trailer with license plate 37H - 040.56, which violated the speed limit 1,517 times in May and 1,253 times in June. The tractor-trailer with license plate 37C - 351.29, exceeded the speed limit more than 1,000 times each month.

Previously, in March and April, Truong Hai Transport Service Cooperative was also reported to have nearly 60 tractors, container trucks, and trucks violating the speed limit. Typically, tractor truck with license plate 37H-040.56 violated the speed limit 1,551 times, and tractor truck with license plate 37H.040.55 violated the speed limit 1,118 times.

According to Decree 10, vehicles with 5 or more speeding violations per 1,000 km per month will have their operating badges and plates revoked.

Therefore, the Hanoi Department of Transport notes that transport businesses are not allowed to use violating vehicles to participate in transport business activities during the time the vehicle's badge is revoked.
