On February 27, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025). At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of the health sector over the past 70 years (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025). Following Uncle Ho's teachings, over the past 70 years, together with the whole country, generations of doctors in Ha Giang province have strived and united to overcome many difficulties, increasingly doing a good job of protecting, caring for and improving people's health. With the attention, leadership, direction and investment of the province, up to now, the health system in the area has continuously developed, with a strong and comprehensive transformation. From having 11 general hospitals, Ha Giang now has 17 hospitals, 18 regional general clinics with more than 2,600 beds; the whole sector currently has 3,750 cadres, medical staff and doctors, including 931 doctors, reaching a rate of 10.17 doctors per 10,000 people. The province has deployed doctors to border communes, remote and isolated areas of the province, including 1 permanent doctor and 1 rotating doctor. In addition, many advanced and specialized techniques have been deployed to help people easily access high-tech medical services right in the province. The province's preventive health system has made progress, going into depth, responding promptly to many dangerous pandemics and epidemics. Facilities and medical equipment at the province's medical facilities have been invested in and upgraded; the qualifications of doctors and medical staff have been gradually improved. Health programs have achieved their goals and plans. Thanks to that, the health of people in the province has been improved, and the quality of the population has gradually increased.

With the achievements over the past 70 years, the Ha Giang Health sector has been honored to receive the 3rd class Labor Medal from the State, 4 doctors were honored to receive the noble title of People's Physician by the President and 54 health workers were awarded the title of Meritorious Physician; many individuals and groups were awarded medals, emulation flags by the Party, State and Government, and received Certificates of Merit from ministries, branches and the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude to generations of doctors, cadres, employees and workers in the Ha Giang health sector. At the same time, he once again acknowledged and commended the achievements of the entire sector in protecting, caring for and improving people's health. To overcome difficulties and effectively resolve challenges, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc also requested that the Ha Giang health sector continue to effectively implement the Resolutions and Directives of the Party, regulations of the State and the sector. Focus on well implementing the work of Party building in terms of politics, ideology and ethics in the entire health sector, including continuing to well implement the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Always be aware and responsible for putting the health and lives of the people first; work must be substantive, effective, and serve the people. Well implement the streamlining of the apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the health system in the whole province according to the direction of the Central and the province.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc requested the Health sector to advise the province to effectively implement state management in the health sector; focus on building green, clean, beautiful, safe and civilized hospitals; mobilize maximum support and assistance from upper-level hospitals, agencies, departments, sectors, organizations and localities to enhance the capacity to control and respond to epidemics. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc hopes that every doctor, cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker of the Health sector will always be united, creative, join hands for the cause of caring for, protecting and improving people's health, well performing the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, worthy of the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: a doctor is like a gentle mother.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented certificates of merit to 8 collectives and 40 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day; The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented a certificate of merit to 1 individual with outstanding achievements in implementing the patriotic emulation movement in 2024./.
