Last weekend, the Etihad team ended that streak with a 2-1 comeback win over newly promoted Luton. It was not a convincing victory, but it pleased Guardiola. The Spaniard believes his team lacks the stability of last season, when they won the treble, so they need to adapt. Man City will be without key striker Erling Haaland for several weeks after the player suffered a foot injury.
"Manchester City are not lacking anything, they just need to change a little bit. We need a little bit more time. I think we have done well in the past period of the season. I don't feel that Manchester City are losing strength or that there is a problem with the way they play. But we always set high standards. We have only lost one of the last six or seven games. And that is considered a disaster. We lost one and drew the rest but performed well. Manchester City are used to winning in the past but recently, that has not happened much," Guardiola commented.
The City boss admitted that four games without a win was difficult to accept, but he did not think victory over Luton would solve the problem.
